FRIGE JUST STOPPED WORKING NOT

Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking same part needs replaced. The water valve at the bottom rear of fridge
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

My ice maker will not

Either the power board or the ice maker's controller have failed and they will have to be replaced.
The part numbers are 6871JB1431A and 6871JB2061B, they can be obtained from here

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/6871JB1431A/0046/795?pathTaken=partSearch&filterPart=&pop=flush&prst=0&shdPart=6871JB1431A

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/6871JB2061B/0046/795?pathTaken=partSearch&filterPart=&pop=flush&prst=0&shdPart=6871JB2061B

If you want to perform the replacement of the controller yourself then follow this

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,sftgwdgkrtgrrsbxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/gqstgbbrkxgkbrfgwkxggfrqdfrt/1/1303472/5961857/image5800672076186513284img-or.jpg

If the replacement of the controller hasn't fixed the problem then the power board is faulty - because of the complexity of the work you should call a repairman

Hello. I have an

Contact LG for service. Even though your unit may be "out of warranty" LG will cover this at no charge. Main board will be upgraded so light relay has higher rated contacts which will not weld their contacts together, and light bulb area will get added thermo protection.

Fresh food section lights work intermittantly.

I had the same thing happen to my LG LFX25950SB French door style. It is out of warranty but when I called 1-800-243-0000 LG customer service, they were very helpful. The CSR instructed me to take the lightbulbs out and he scheduled a service tech out within 5 days. No charge for parts or labor. I must admit I am impressed.

LG Ice maker

I got the same problem where the plate is cold and the water does not fill - saw this comment from other posting and help. Basically, the ice maker was stalled! Make sure you can see the green light is on, which means you have power. if its lit, press and hold the cube size button until i/m starts to cycle. If i/m runs, but does not fill then your water valve is bad. If i/m will not start then your i/m is at fault.

LG LFX2590TT French door unit: ice

Hi

Please check the water inlet valve, it might be frozen or blocked with mineral deposit.Use a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Make sure the water inlet valve's screen is not blocked. If the issue persists, then the water inlet valve has gone bad, use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve's continuity. Use a multimeter to test the continuity.
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

HOW TO REMOVE DOOR HANDLES (LFX25960

To move refrigerator through a house door, it may be necessary to remove the refrigerator door handles.

1. Removing Refrigerator Handle

Grasp the handle tightly with both hands and slide the handle up (this may require some force).

The keyhole slots on the back of the handle allow the handle to separate from the mounting screws.

CAUTION:The handle could be damaged if you hit it with a hammer while removing or attaching.

CAUTION:When you assemble or disassemble handle, you must push or pull with reasonable force.

2. Removing Freezer Drawer Handle

Press the handle against door first.

Grasp the handle tightly with both hands and slide the handle to right (this may require some force).

The keyhole slots on the back of the handle allow the handle to separate from the mounting screws.

My LG refrigerator is not

There are a few reasons why your water may not be working. The first is that the fresh food side of your fridge is too cold and it has frozen. You can check that by removing the crisper drawer and checking the reservoir behind it. You can thaw the water with a hair dryer on low setting.

The next possibility is that it is your filter. If you have not replaced it in the last year, now would be a good time to consider doing so.

The last and most probable is that the water valve on the back of your fridge has failed, and not letting the water in for the ice maker and water dispenser.

This can be replaced by unplugging the fridge and removing the rear cover. You will see the valve where the water line is connected. There are several variations of this valve and you can click the link below to match up what you have.

Once you have matched the valve up, you can replace the cover and plug the fridge in. One of the biggest reasons that I use the site below is that they have excellent service after the sale including support for installing your part; according woth the right model, CHECK REPLACEMENT HERE.

When the door closes the light does not go out

When the door closes, it strikes a switch which will "open" the circuit and terminate the light. Try opening the door, locate the light switch and press it in with your finger. Does the light turn off? No? More than likely, it is a faulty switch (constantly closed) which doesn't open and break the circuit (voltage constantly flows to lamp).

Should the light go out when you press the switch, you may have a door alignment issue and can adjust accordingly with specific screws (or retighten existing screws)

Hope this helps

French door fridge light works

if the light is working intermittently then there has to be a wire that is loosely connected into the light itself check this diagram on piece 410a to assure that it is makeing a good connection http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/partsdirect/showSubComp.pd?imageUrl=http%3a%2f%2fc.searspartsdirect.com%2flis_png%2fPLDM%2fK0810256-00001.png
also you can do a power test on the wire with tripping the switch by pushing it in and leaving it out to assure that you are getting power to the light when the switch is not depressed if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has concluded Thanks again Rick
