I have a universal remote for my unit. How do i get the tv on the video screen so i can us my Dish Hopper?

I don't know what brand remote control you have. In most cases, AV selection to RCA TVs will not be possible to many of them. It will be best to buy an original remote control said for your TV brand. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

I have a TruFlat RCA

Try this -
  1. Press menu for main menu.
  2. Press CH + or CH - to highlight preferences.
  3. Press "OK" to enter preferences submenu.
  4. Press CH + or CH - to high light "FPA"
  5. Press VOL + or VOL - to turn the FPA on or off.
  6. Press MENU repeatedly to exit.
  7. Back to normal
  • FPA stands for Front Panel Lock. It makes it so kids don't push all the buttons on the front of your TV. The power button on the TV will still work and the remote will still function as normal.

Regards, Tony

Need code for Innovage jumbo universal remote for

The Innovage Jumbo users manual lists over two dozen RCA TV remote codes. They are:

000, 003, 004, 005, 007, 009, 011, 015, 048, 082, 092, 094, 096, 098, 101, 102, 103, 107, 113, 125, 129, 167, 179, 187, 188, 191, & 194.

To program your remote by entering a code, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Enter the first set of 3-digit codes from the list. The LED will blink once every keypress. After the 3rd digit, the red LED will turn off indicating that the code was recognized for the device. If the code was not compatible, the LED will flash several times and you need to return to step 2 to try that code again or to try the next code in the list.
  5. After the LED has turned off, aim the remote at the TV and press ON/OFF. If the device turns off, you have used the correct code and the remote was successfully programed. If the device does not power off, return to step 2 and try again with the next code in the list.
If you can't be bothered to enter each of those codes one at a time, you might consider the auto-search function.

To have the remote try each TV code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.
I hope that helps.
