Buy a small set od plastic ring compressors, they are readily available from small engine shops.

Mixture is typically 40 or 50 to 1, gas to oil. The exact mix should be stamped on the gas cap.

I just rebuilt my 725r. I don't have a diagram but I can explain it. There are two lines coming out of the fuel tank. The line closest to the rear is the fuel feed and has the in-tank filter (these are available for replacement). This line goes through the lower case hole of the air filter housing and attaches to the bottom of the carburetor. The line toward the front of the tank attaches to the longer/lower fitting the primer bulb and is the return. The line coming off the shorter/upper fitting of the primer bulb goes through the upper hole of the air filter housing and attaches to the top of the carburetor.

FYI also, the forward carburetor screw is the low idle adjustment & the rear, the high-speed mixture. The original oil mixture spec called for 32:1

after you insert the fuel line through the tank and install the filter. take some WD-40 and spray the hose. now from the bottom of tank the pull on the hose. and just keep pulling on it till it comes through all the way. then slide the little white washer back over the hose and seat in place. this should do it for you. they are a royal pain in the **** to work on. numerous brands of string trimmers have these top mount tanks. a new tank with hoses already assembled is about 45 bucks with shipping. much cheaper to fix it yourself.

One line ( the one with the fuel filter in the end of it) comes out of the fuel tank and goes to the lower port on the carburator. The second line goes from the fuel tank to the bottom fitting on the primer bulb. The third section goes from the top port on the primer bulb to the top port on the carburator. hello,After it stalls take the fuel cap off and put it back on and see if it starts,maybe the cap is bad or clogged and not letting air in to equalize the pressure of the fuel being used in other wards a cloged vent, !!

hello,, how to restring black & decker,worx,ryobi,sears cordless and corded trimmers,, turn trimmer upside down,make sure bottom is clean,, push in the two tabs and pull bottom piece out,,remove the black spool,remove any old line and make note how string is attached to spool,you will need 30ft.of # 65 line some stores has this pre packaged for your b&d, insert the lone in the grove or hole and follow the arrow on the spool,line should be wound, now to reinsert the spool make sure that the spool is lined up with the slot to slot on the out side cup also on the auto feed make sure that the small half moon inside clip is towards the center,put spool on making sure to get groves in the spool slot,and get line through hole.put on cap, on the auto feed the line comes out when you turn trimmer on, you should do good to go,hope this help,any comments welcome,thank you..

hello sir, ryobi trimmers and other models removal of the bell housing,removal of the metal bell housing,or clutch drum, on models 780R & 790R, here is what you do. after removing the trimmer & shaft assembly.remove the spark plug insert a screwdriver in the cylinder to keep piston from moveing. to remove the bell housing twist off the spring and using a T20 TORX screwdriver unscrew the retaining screw in the center of the bell housing (normal r/h thread) . push down firmely try not to strip screw head . you should be able to remove clutch housing.remove clutch using a pair of channel locks,works for me, (normal r/h thread) you should be able to remove front engine cover to repair what you need to.coil,pull stsrt, hope this works,. this solution applies to all trimmers with clutch removal~~~hope this helps,,any comments welcome,thank you. 11

sounds like fuel problems tip out all fuel clean tank add new fuel (right mix) try that. make sure choke is working and throttle. good luck.
