TV turns itself off
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa.It seems to be an issue with the X, Y-main board however; control board should also be checked. As the sound is working fine so it means that power supply unit is functioning properly. Check for any bad/bulged capacitors on these boards. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you’ll have to open the back of the unit and then blow the dust off with a blow dryer. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

The picture is excellent except
Hi,
Please change Zoom/ Aspect ratio of screen in tv menu to get full screen view. It sounds current setting is 4:3 that is why you see black bands on sides of picture, change it to 16:9 ratio to have full view.
All that options are in menu of tv.
If that does not fix he problem then it would be hardware problem in your plasma tv, please confirm is it LG 50PC1DRA plasma tv or any other model?
Hope this info will help you.
Thanks.
Its darker when the camera is father away.
this could be an auto picture feature not working correctly with the wide lens view you will want to go into your tv settings menu and make sure nothing is set to auto and than configure it so this no longer happens be prepared to spend about an hour getting familiar with each option so you understand which is doing what exactly
hope this helps

Television will not turn after a 10 minute power outage
Depending on what made the power outage, your power supply might have got fried. It might be as simple as a few capacitors blowing or a little more serious. I would suggest taking it to a repair shop. A power supply replacement will run you about 200-250. If its just a few capacitors, should be around 100.
Black stripe threw screan
Contact the supplier you bought it from, there will be a fault with the screen & it will still be under a manufacturers warranty as it's only 3 months old. This fault will be either an internal fault in the screen or the flat connector cable from the screen.
The power went out while the tv was on and when
You really only have two possible reasons for this:
1.) One of the fuses inside got taken out when the power came back on; most have a fuse on the power cord (if you get the power light to come on at all that one is likely to be good). Most also have at least one or two more fuses---it will mean taking the back off of the unit.
I can tell you the safe way to do that if you need to know.
2.) Whatever happened when the power came back on may have damaged the actual power supply board---these sets for the most part do not sell individual parts--just boards.
Either you have a blown fuse or the power board got damaged.

Plasma model# 50PC1DRA:
When turning it
Hi,
How long have you owned the set and how long have you had this problem? Are you planning on attempting any repairs that may be needed yourself? Once I have more information I can assist you further. Honestly one more boards may/will need to be replaced and the price can range. You may want to consider replacement as well. The power board runs about 200$. It will most likely be either that or the y sus board.
Thank you,
Lee
I found out from one
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. It seems the
part will cost you around $220; the cost to get this done by a professional would be around $150 for labor, you can buy the parts from this link.

I was watching TV last night and, without warning
The reason there is no picture is (95%, certainty) the loss of the high voltage. The high voltage is what produces the energy for the raster lines upon which the video is modulated.
Therefore, the video and deflection circuits may be working just fine but you cannot see because there is no high voltage to the picture projection tubes.
Now, it is possible, also that power to the projection tube filaments has been lost, or that the power supply to the biasing voltages is defective or that the picture tube sockets are corroded, but the overwhelming cause among projection sets is loss of high voltage.
Refurbishing the high voltage will probably cost $250 or from anywhere you go. Even if you do it yourself and buy the parts wholesale you will not save a tremenduous amount. So, unless you are very handy and know how to troubleshoot, solder, repair and test, I think you are better off finding a good shop for the repair.
Good luck and have a great day!
Our LG plasma won't come on. After trying several
good day sir, hi, you have power supply board problems, we usually repair or replace the whole power board, the board can be bought at ebay, just note the model number. As i see your problem, it is probably caused by the switching IC on the power board, or a faulty capacitor, If you can replace the whole power board, good, you also need to get the replacement board. call your dealer if they have service for your TV, servicing it yourself or bringing it for repairs, needs cash, better get estimates first and get the best deal.
