Printhead needs replacing in my kodak 5300 printer

Hi..

Try here
http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/service/manuals/AiOPrinters/printhead/AUR1780-9_UE_RevC.pdf

You can find illustrated instructions on how to remove the old printhead, as well as on how to put the new printhead back in place.

You can easily go to that website by going to:
www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport

and selecting the second option "installing new printhead".

Good Luck:-)

It sounds like the ink carriage has indeed failed. Is there any chance you think it may be under warranty still? This is definitely a physical failure on the part of the printer. If you happened to purchase the device with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the printer.

Otherwise though you are going to want to replace it unfortunately. I can definitely recommend a good replacement if you want.

Thanks
Tim

My kodak 5300 printer is printing with streaks

Hi

To resolve this issue you'll need to clean your printers cartridges. To clean it you'll need Q-Tip and alcohol. Turn off your printer and unplug it, now open the printer's front cover and take out the cartridges from their respective carriage. Now dip the Q-tip in alcohol and clean the cartridges with Q-tip. Also, clean the print head with Q-tip, use a paper towel if there is excessive ink inside the carriage.

Now let it dry and check if it is still giving similar issue. If yes then closely examine the print head for any kind of restiction like a piece of paper.

How do you scan digit prints from my 5300

Hi. There are lot of way on how to transfer your documents from old compter to nerw computer. First, you may use extarnal harddrive and copy all the documents from old PC to external HD and copy it to new PC. Second, If computers are in a network you may access the old computer from the network using the new computer and copy the files. Third, you may burn all the files from the old computer and then copy it from the new computer. Fourth, you may also do direct cable (LAN) connection to copy files from your old computer.
