TV will be working fine, then all of a sudden, no picture and 'no signal' sign comes up. This can last anywhere from a few minutes to all day. Sometimes cable signal comes back, but still can't get digital or analogue signals.
Have had digital antenna installed. all other analogue tvs work as does cable in other room. Also, when this happens, if i try to watch recorded tv, i get a picture, but there is no sound.

To fix the problem, try turning off the TV and unplugging it from the outlet. Once unplugged, push the power button and hold it down for 1 minute. Then turn the TV back on and rescan for channels.
If the problem persists, contact LG customer service immediately as there is a problem with the memory card. The device is unable to retain scanned channels for immediate feedback.
All LG LCD automatically comes with a 1 year manufacturing warranty. You would have to provide proof of purchase to show when it was purchased. Hope this helps. The Guru

After turning on my LG 42 in LCD tv the unit turns off inr 7-9 seconds! no sleeper set no auto off

Found that TV started switching off by itself. Would try to come on..green light blinked for 2-3 seconds, tv came on (with picture and sound) for 1 or 2 seconds and then it would turn itself off. Found that the issue is with one channel only. If you are facing this issue....try quickly changing the channel the moment it comes on. You can do it either with remote or with the TV buttons directly. also in the same logic, if this is still happening, try changing the source to another (rgb-pc, av1, av2 etc). Basically change it from whatever input it is on currently, if changing the channels does not work. My symptom was that the tv made a loud 'TIK' 'TAK' sound which is louder than normal.

My TV doesn't respond to any remotes, I've tried all of the other solutions involving remotes and I know that it needs a new IR remote sensor. I have already ordered a new IR remote sensor, all I want to know is if it is easy enough to replace the sensor for someone who doesn't have a lot of experience with this kind of stuff to do; and/or preferably how to do it.

My LG TV stopped responding to the remote. A very helpful repair technician told me to stick a head phone jack in the sensor jack on the back of the TV a few times to clean out the contacts. Now the remote control works fine.

46 inch LG HD flat screen TV the speakers seem to have a slight vibration that distorts the voices. It does not occur with every word but often enough to be a pain.

I have this problem with my 37LG30.
They all seem to have the same factory flaw.
The plastic bezel and rear is vibrating against itself I have found.
Tonight, just now, I just took all the front bezel screws out,(from the back) loosened the other 4 big screws in the rear center(I don't recommend removing them)and loosened the stand screws also and tried separating the bezel from the back as I went around the set. This did not really help much except around the bottom where the noise/vibrating comes from-the speaker area.
The two plastic pieces are vibrating against one another.
The vibrating was coming from the speaker area without doubt.
The next thing was to try separating at the bottom where the speakers are with my fingers and a stiff metal nail file carefully..fingers seemed to work best for me.
As I separated the front bezel from the rear housing (at the speaker location)most if not all the buzzing/vibrating /distortion went away.
I then inserted small pieces of cotton (you can use felt, or similar I suppose) and buttoned it all back up;put the screws in
Almost all the distortion and speaker buzz/vibratingis gone except on very low frequencies.

Go into your control panel. Select display. There will be a picture showing 2 screens. Select the 2nd screen, and lower resolution to it's minimum. Apply and test. Slowly increase till you find what your happiest with. Worked for me using a ASUS laptop and LG60'plasma.

Hi - We have an LCD tv (32 in.) that we have had for about a year and it just displaying yellows and greens strangely (e.g., green baseball fields look like a pale avocado color and people's faces look yellow). We tried adjusting the color controls but it didn't do much so we went back to the default. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Just like in Solution 3. Color was off. Looked in back and cables "appeared" to be ok. However, I disconnected the cables one by one and amazingly the color returned. So make sure your color cables are truly connected.

my LG HD tv screen suddenly went green. sound is ok - no picture at all. I can change channels but no picture.

I disagree with info provided, if screen of your LG lcd tv becomes green that means inverter board is working and lcd tv does not have convergence ICs.
Please unplug tv from ac wall socket for minute to get it reset, replug back in and turn it On and check its picture.
If still showing green screen then change input source with remote, if tv shows same green screen on all inputs that means its either lcd panel problem or digital signal processor got bad loacted on main board. Local tv repairman is needed to confirm and fix it.
