How do I turn off the ice maker in my Amana refridgerator?
There should be a stiff wire arm above the box where the ice cubes are stored. Gently lift the arm up until you feel a little jump. Let go of the and it shoould stay there. That turns off the ice maker. If the wire arm drops back down, lift it a little higher until it stays up. If you are going to move the fridge, make sure the water hose in back of the fridge is turned off and disconected or you will have a mess to clean up. When you want to turn it back on just lower the wire arm,
Temperature in fridge is 32 degrees
If the model number above your post is correct the your model has a
67003411 Auto Damperand if the damper door is all the way open causing the fresh food compartment to be flooded with freezing cold air from the freezer side. It is not uncommon for thes dampers to fail due to a leak in the thermostat on the side of coiled up on the damper. Look at damper t confirm there is no frost keeping the damper door open and if you like I will post how to examine by taking the damper out and placing the damper thermostat coil and dipping it into a glass of ice and a little water. The damper door should shut if dipped into ice water. If not the damper will need to be replaced in order for fresh food section temperatures to be regulated. I will be here should you have questions, Thanks

Ok, the part number for that switch is C3680310, which is available at your local appliance parts retailer. That canopy is held in place with 8 snap tight clips and 2 tabs, 6 clips along the front edge, one on either side, and the two tabs in back will slide out once the other clips are free. It is easiest to use a small screwdriver and a paint scraper, or other similar tool to prevent damage to cabinet liner. Once you remove this canopy, there will be one plug, which will disconnect power to the appliance. You can then remove this switch and replace it with a new one.

Ice maker won't refill, line frozen?
Good day,
Very possible. however, follow a step by step diagnosis. It will solve the problem. Ignore any step you have explained.
First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......
Three possibilities.
1. The water supply from the house is not delivering water to the water valve. Shut off the house at the meter, disconnect the line going to the water valve, and with the line pointed into a bucket, have someone turn the valve back on for a 15 second count. The water should come out smartly. If not, the line and it's fittings will have to be replaced.
2. The fill tube from the back of the machine that feeds water into the back of the ice maker is frozen up. You will have to remove the ice maker to visually inspect that tube. If blocked, it needs to be defrosted, but use caution. Too much heat too fast will start to melt plastic and vinyl parts you don't want melted.
If this is the case, then once cleaned out, you will have to change the water valve located in the back bottom rear of the machine because it is leaking during the off cycle.
3. If everything checks O.K. up to this point, you will have to purchase and install a new water valve, and install it.
P.S. Under very rare occasions the electric circuity in the ice maker will fail to send a signal to the water valve. Although rare, it can happen, in which case the best option is to replace the ice maker and water valve.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Check to
see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a
wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger.
If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some
units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on.
On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire
is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8
degrees Fahrenheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not
produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as
necessary. Also, check the water line attached to the back of the
refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply
valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next,
place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on
to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace
the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good,
you may have to replace the water inlet valve.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Our 5YEAR ARB2557CW was making a clicking sound
Hi there,
Well the components on the side of the compressor are called your relay, starter and capacitor. There are a few different styles but they pretty much do the same thing. They allow the electrical current to enter the compressor. If the compressor is going bad, say shorted windings in the motor, this will cause the compressor to draw to many amps of electricity. When the compressor draws too much current, the overload will overheat and "CLICK". When you hear that click, that is the sound of, your refrigerator isn't going to get cold anymore...... Relay is the main resign for this issue, this is a chip fix and your sure your refrigerator worth this repair...... Please post comments if you need more help or information.........
Good Luck!!
Thanks
