Check and see if a cubes or cubes are stuck in the ejection fingers. If the ice mold is full try cleaning the bottom coils. If the ice mold is empty check the water valve solenoid. Most times both the ice maker and water valve gets replaced at the same time. Nothing inside the ice box controls the ice maker. It does it all itself all it needs is for their to be 35f in the freezer or better. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61
NOTE: This is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully. Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees The ref. temp should be about 33-35 The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest See if water is in icemaker. Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects. If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that attaches to water line out of wall) If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker. If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running It moves air to the ref from the freezer Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge. Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean. There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card. Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear Clean condenser coils underneath .I'm including my article on Refrigerator Repair for your help and convenience.; Please click or copy and paste into browser for Article http://www.fixya.com/support/r5816737-fix_refrigerator_psychologically Thanks for using fixya Leo Ponder imufo2 PLEASE GIVE A TESTIMONIAL AND VOTE FOUR THUMBS UP IF THIS WAS HELPFUL
The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils) Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer. When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water overflows into the ref. or freezer Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer. Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear Clean condenser coils underneath .I'm including my article on Refrigerator Repair for your help and convenience.; Please click or copy and paste into browser for Article http://www.fixya.com/support/r5816737-fix_refrigerator_psychologically Thanks for using fixya Leo Ponder imufo2 Please VOTE FOR ME IF THIS WAS HELPFUL
the most likely cause of that is the water valve,it has one inlet from the house plumbing and two outlets, one for the in door water dispenser and a second one for the i/m the part # is12544002 it could be purchasd by copying and pasting part # then do a google search then click the"shopping" tab
Sounds to me your ice maker fill tube is freezing over due to a leaking or seeping water control valve. This symptom can only be fixed by replacing the dual water control valve=> 12002193 Secondary Water Control Valve See where it says=> Ice Fill Tube at top of refrigerator? Then turn Ice Maker Off and then disconnect the water line to the rear in back at top as illustrated in that picture. You will see water most likely oozing by the water valve. Here is a short Clip done by another and found on my sites and Youtube. Just watch when he pulls the Ice out of that tube. If this does not help please ask and I will again respond, Thanks, Sea Breeze
usually when the bottomof the freezer is cold and the top isn't it's the evap fan motor isn't working and all the cold air sits at the bottom.when you open the freezer door you should hear the fan running inside the freezer, also tried to look up your model but it didn't come up.open the fridge door, look up on the right and hear the cieling and you'll see a tag with the model and serial numbers,i just need the model number and i can help you better
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
Good day,
The main heater is a double loop calrod unit mounted to the bottom of the cooling coil located behind the rear panel in the freezer panel.
You can access it by removing the rear panel and if necessary melting any ice or frost built up.
It should be noted it fails rarly, so you should check it with an ohm meter before replacing it.
Here's a picture.
If your fridge or freezer is not cooling at all even after you had done a full clean up, thenit is possible that you compressor is faulty due to the failure of its pumping , maybe failure within the system due to any valve or O rings failure. The oher major problem could be that your gas had leaked out, in such case you will need to check for the system leak before any gas is pumped in. I think you will need the help of a service technician to come over and give you an estimate before you decide if it is feasible with the cost. Since you ahve an idea of the job that could be expected decide only after you think that the service cnetre gives you warranty on the work done specially if the compressor is service. So check this out. Good day
