We are getting sound but no picture. Can you
If you are not getting an image, only sound, then there is a problem with one of the drive boards on the TV. This typically is the Y-Sustain and sometimes the Y-drive board(s).
If your TV is still under the one year warranty, you will want to call LG for service. Some of the boards in your TV may have a two year warranty. LG service number -800-243-0000.
I can get you LG part numbers if you need them. Good Luck.
Pictur went out but sound
If the picture goes out then its usually associated with failed sustain boards, provided all the controls are functioning(if the controls are not working then its most likely to be the logic control board itself). It is usually advisable to replace both the sustain boards at the same time. That should resolve the problem.

Hello,
The reason your television have sound but no pictures is because there is a problem with the t-com board of the television.
Once you can have the board fixed or replaced because mainly its a capacitor that got burnt on the board.
But replacing the board will do just fine.
Take care and good luck
Has sound but no picture
Hello,
The problem is from the t-com board of the television, that is why you are having sound but no picture.
The solution is simple, just have the t-com board replaced and your television will be in good condition once again.
Take care
Only sound no picture on
Hi
You will more than likely find this to be the Y-SUSTAIN board that has failed.
With the back removed from your tv it is located to the left hand side (rectangular board) and will have 2 x fuses on it, you will see 1 of the fuses is blown, this is a very common fault and can not be repaired just replacing the fuse.
Its the actual big IC under the heatsink that fails.
Get the part number of the board and google or ebay for a replacement. Replace and all should be well.
Hope this helps.
Crackling sound from speakers, intermittent,
If these speakers are internal to the TV, chances are an internal component is getting noisy -- probably a capacitor -- and will eventually need replacement. That's not something you can do yourself. It's also possible there's a loose connection or a noisy volume control, but that's less likely, and again, would require a qualified serviceman.
If the speakers are external - that is, you've plugged them into the set -- check the connections at the set and at the speaker to make sure they're not corroded and are firmly seated. Sometimes just unplugging and replugging them a couple of times rubs off enough corrosion to solve the problem. Also wiggle the wires close to the connectors on the cables. If that causes the crackle, replace the cables.

have almost the same problem left side is black with sometime blue line red lines or a whole bunch of different lines some one help please have sound and right side of tv works fine
Tv poped no picture no
I would have to say that you have bad capacitor in the power supply.Have you taken the TV apart? If you can take it apart, and send some pictures of the board with the power cord going to it,I can tell you which capacitors if any are bad. They have a rounded top to them instead of being flat. Also, how many blinks does the power light blink?Usually it's a series of flashes, and then it repeats.I hope this helps.Thank You very much!
