Just before it boots, press F8 and choose Restore from the menu.
If your Restore partition is still intact, that will reload Windows and delete the data.

Download a utility programme called asc-setup from IObit.com THis is a freeware utility that will repair your registry errors and much more if you purchase the whole system.
When you have run it go to toshiba.com and download the latest drivers.
That will sort your problems out for you.

It might be in sleep mode.

Hold the Power button for about 10 seconds until the laptop turns off.

Push power button to turn on.

God Bless You!

If you were to log on to the toshiba.com web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download if available, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service, Driver downloads and Installation Instructions as required.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

There are no XP drivers to be found with Microsoft as that OS is no longer supported.

I hope this helps.

Hello.

The most common reasons are the battery, power adapter/cord and power jack.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Also, power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you are knowledgeable, remove the heatsink and apply new thermal paste.

But, it certainly could be the mobo.

Hope this helps.

Hello.

There is a hidden Administrator account that is created when your operating system is installed. Access that account and then reset your password.

1. Boot your computer and press F8 repeatedly
2. Access Safe Mode
3. Key in "Administrator" in Username, with no password.
4. Go to Control Panel, then User Accounts
5. Select the account you want to reset the password
6. Change the password

Hope this helps

This is the sign that the BIOS can't find Windows, it has been totally corrupted. Too late to save it, you must reinstall it.

http://www.4shared.com/file/oE15gXll/killdisk_and_boot-cd-iso.html
get this from my shared drive(read instructions in there)

and wipe your disk clean (Warning...this process will make you lose all data on disk so be careful, if posible backup all critical data that you need)
once done install WinXP SP3(get a Windows XP cd from a friend or download a pirated copy from net) look for "WinXP SP3 piratebay" in google

when installing WinXP make more than 2 partitions (C, D, E)
Install WinXP in C
once done, let Windows boot and show Desktop
install WinVista or Win7 in D
use E for saving your critical data
