red light is on, but when the tv is turned on, it immediately shut down and goes back to the red light setting. It is like it blows a fuse or something to that effect.Post Solution

Sounds like Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If repars are recent take back and ask them to do it right, if tv less than a year old lg should replace remote. Otherwise I would replace whole handset either with a new lg 1 or get a universal that is compatible with the tv

typically this is caused by the imaging processor. The board can be swapped out but requires a good bit of know how as there are a lot of dangerous components in LCD and plasma televisions.

check value of caps in power supply they tend to dry out. do to heat.

Your main power supply board probably has a blown fuse or it's standby supply circuit has failed.

There is no setting or adjustment for the power line frequency.

Does the power light blink after it shuts down? The number of blinks will usually indicate which area is failing. Most plasma tv's fail due to YSUS and Y buffer board failures.
