It is possible that, since the firmware update, the standard username an password have changed. Try some other standard username/password combinations (see link). When you're able to login, I would advise you to change username and password. If you leave both at the standard setting, anyone can access your router (and even change username and password). does the printer icon show on the tool bar before now? If yes, then you can perform a system restore on your computer and let's see if that would solve the problem.

System restore helps to back date your computer to the time when the tool bar was there.

Go to Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.

Read and follow instructions, then proceed for the restore.

Your computer will restart in the process of the restore. After that, try again.

If system restore doesn't seem to solve the problem, please let me know for further directions.

Ok, just to check. Sometimes it is required for router to be in pairing mode, depends on router. So just check to see if there is a pairing button and if so give it a press then try this.

Go settings, Wi-Fi and select the network you want to connect to (tap the network text, not the blue arrow on the right).

The iPhone will then ask you for a password. Check underneath or on your router and you will see a long wireless key with various characters in it.

Depending on your system enter into the password box the first 5 or 13 characters for non-hex, or the first 10 or 26 characters for hex. Mine is the first 10.

Then click "join" and the small Wi-Fi fan should replace 3G.

Yes you can get "into" your router via a broswser by typing in it's IP, usually 192.168.1.1 enter logon & password , if not set, usually admin, admin, (or blank). You should check your default settings though.

Then here you can manipulate ya router.

Perhaps you might wanna try checking the IP address of the printer and see if it matches that of the ones that are mapped in each individual computer. There might be many factors in the "strange" events that have occured (PC gremlins, i call it). That should be an initial starting point.

Resetting the router wouldnt help, cause it is the router that issues different dynamic IP addresses (otherwise known as DHPC) to each and eveny node connected to the netwrok as well.

Another important thing to note is HOW these devices are connected to the router. Wirelessly? Wired connection? The fact that you can see the printer via the router means that there is no problem with the router's end, so the problem lies in the intermidiate connection from the computers to the router. Try to work on this angle. Thanks.

You need to contact your ISP if the internet connection is not there....

maybe there some incompatibilities in your other router. or the kind of cable you are using. or it is incompatible with your other devices.

if your printer is a dedicated network printer and connected to the router, then make sure sharing is enabled and that your router is set to enable DHCP which should give your printer an ip address automatically. But if the printer is not a network printer, and is only connected to one of your pc's, then you will have to go to the printer properties in printers and faxes folder and ensure that it is set as shared, remembering the pc it is attached to has to be on

My advice and personal experiences with both wired and wireless connectivity, is if you wish to share files and internet connection, purchase a combined Modem/Router and not a seperate router to work along side your original modem. Your modem will send your router an ip address in turn your pc is sent one from your router and can get complicated; keep it simple! These are much easier to set up and control as one unit and if there are ever any connection problems you will know it's either a setting or a modem/router problem and not have to wonder ; is it the modem?; Router? settings? etc. As there are frequent loss of connections both internet and LAN it makes sense have one peice of equipment to maintain.
