Had the same issue, I replaced two 1200uf caps on the power supply board and now it works fine again. Remember to replace the caps with caps rated for at least 35wvdc.

Blue screen means no signal detected which if you have audio is strange---How and where on the set is the signal hooked up?Coax or cable fitting?Rear audio and video or component or HDMI?

U can't do much on a universal tv remote.Only the basic mostly,like power on/off,channels up/down and volume up/down that about it.If u wanted more functions and controls and adjustments inside of the tv Menu for options like changing and adding functions.U must have the tv original remote to be able to do it.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv orignal remote.

No.Check first the Ac cord if there is a AC power.If the didnt turn on in the remote or manual its better to check if the fuse is busted.Check it at the power supply section.Thanks..

You need to verify if the remote is sending out the IR signals or not first.
Testing remote control: The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals. If the remote checked out OK, then look at the back of the TV first for the "REMOTE INPUT", use a mini-phone plug and insert the plug into the remote input jack in and out a couple times to clean the switch contacts that select between the front IR receiver of the TV or the rear panel IR input jacks. There should be power fail with the TV. Unplug the device, open the cover, open the metal cover and take a careful look over the alimentation board- its that board where the alimentation cable goes. You say she heard a sound, so, there should be or some burned element, or, most probably, a inflated/exploded electrolytic capacitor. You have to change all electolits that are inflated, according to their position and polarisation.

Hi, could be the main board but first you need to look for swollen capacitors on the power supply, here is the process:
, the solution to fixing your TV is most likely the power supply, if you are wanting to repair it yourself and can solder, it is most likely going to need (2) 1200 or 2200mf at 35volts electrolitic Capacitors, or you can replace the whole power supply. The back is held on with a few screws around the back and edge and then you need to pop the edges loose starting at the bottom side corners. once the back is removed the power supply is mounted inside a rectangle metal shield , remove the screws around it and the little ones going into the jack/input section (using a short philips there), there is a wire running from a circuit board to the USB input be careful not to pull on it, unplug its wire from the CBA. then look at the power supply (top center board) the cylinder looking capacitors that are bad will be bulged on top, usually there are two 2200mfd at 10 or 25volts. changing them should get it working. A repair shop will charge you around $250 for this job, FYI

The power is down due to three bad capacitors. The first bad cap is location 2074, which is 25 volts at 2200Mfs. This is the first cap to go down. Next may be the location# 2081, which is a 35 volt 1200 Mf cap. A third one that requires care to extract is location# 2066, which is a 16 volt 10 Mf cap. These are listed as most bad to weak. Any of the noted caps are a 105 degree cap (High Temp). You may use a next higher voltage but be sure the microfarads are exact! Be patient and you will discover how to remove the silver tape and uncover the area you need to remove. I think you will be concerned with the board on your left back. It has been some time since I have repaired this model. But the info you receive will get the power supply up and running. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!
