DAR482BLS does not chill
Your black sphere is called a compressor .
The only way to know if this compressor is bad is by using a amp meter .
When compressor hum put your amp meter and see what the amp draw .
If you get a high reading it's bad .You can also try using a 3in 1 kit and see if it help the compressor
Turns on...clicks every few minutes....never gets cold
It looks like the compresor is trying to start and goes off on overload ,it could be a bad relay or a bad compresor.Try first replacing the relay located on the side of the compresor under a black plastic cover(ALWAYS UNPLUGGED THE FRIDGE BEFORE DO ANY WORK) if that does not work you need to replace the compresor.
Continues to freeze
It sounds like the temp sensor isn't working properly and letting the compressor run all the time till it freezes. If you are "handy" you can replace the temp sensor. Parts are available online at different websites like repairclinic.com or partselect.com, etc.
Danby DAR044A6LDB Mini Fridge. Where are the condenser coils on it please?
The two lines entering/exiting the lower right of the attached photo (back view) should be the condenser as the lines on left side appear to be for evaporation. Looks like they buried the coils inside the right side panel and possibly the top. The coils may be bonded to panel metal and the metal is what radiates extracted heat.

Danby Chest freezer leaking
No it is time for a new one. There is either a leak on the inner liner or the insulation between the inner layer and outer layer has broken down and is causing condensation.

Danby DBC514BLS-1 beverage frig not cooling
If your Danby DBC514BLS-1 beverage fridge is not cooling and you have noticed frost on the back coil, it could be a sign of a problem with the fridge's defrost system. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the fan to see if it is running. If the fan is not running, it may be a problem with the fan motor or the control board.
- Check the defrost timer and thermostat. The defrost timer controls the defrost cycle, and the thermostat monitors the temperature inside the fridge. If either of these components is faulty, it could cause the fridge to frost up.
- Check the wiring and connections. Make sure all the wires are securely connected and that there are no loose or frayed wires.
it is possible to replace the fan in your model of fridge, If you decide to attempt the repair yourself, you will need to purchase the correct replacement fan for your fridge and have the necessary tools to make the repair.
