I just purchased a 52

Hi, my name is Bob, and I am a contractor in this field. The thermostat you need for this unit is a Penn-A19 Commercial thermostat control. They make 2 different types for this control, one has the long coil and bulb, and the other just mounts inside with a small coil on top that reads the temperature. Get the second one. It is adjustable, and is well with in the range you require for this wine box. It is a small gray box with a cover and temp. dial. You will need to take the connections loose from the original stat and run them to this new one. It has 2 screw connectors to run the wires to, very simple to install and wire. We use these in the field to replace many type of thermostats that are faulty or not correct. The directions will show you how to wire it up, very, very, simple. It has a adjustable differential of 3 degrees plus or minus on it. It just screws to the interior near your old stat, and take the wires from the old one to connect. It will only be one wire in and out, same wire. Very easy to do. It will work with any voltage, so don,t worry. Very cost effective. If you can, go to a appliance parts house to get it. If you know a contractor you can get one at a wholesale Refrigeration parts house. You can try that anyway, as sometimes you can. I know this will be the way to go for you. Please rate me on my help to you. Thank you.

The beverage center and wine cellars have a temperature display for each zone. 12 volts

AC is supplied to the display board from a transformer in the unit compartment. The displays are only temperature displays and have nothing to do with any cooling function. A thermistor is used to sense temperature for each zone. The thermistor for the bottom zone is located inside the lower portion of the separator. The thermistor for the top zone on the wine cellar, (mid zone on beverage

center), is located in the upper portion of the separator. The thermistor for the beverage center upper zone is located on the inside of the 2-piece evaporator cover. It is on the right-hand side.

The mid temperature for the bottom zones on either unit are 60? Fahrenheit plus or minus 5 degrees. The mid temperature for the mid zone on the beverage center and the top zone

on the wine cellar is 45? Fahrenheit plus or minus 5 degrees. The mid temperature for the

top zone on the beverage center is 38? Fahrenheit plus or minus 5 degrees. I think at tis time you should check each section with a pocket size digital thermometer to cofirm tha the mechanical thermostat is within calibration. Click Here=> 4344690 Temperature Control

I believe the problem may be in the PCB transformer shown at the bottom right corner of the wiring diagram. It is possible o change the transformer but I have not been able to find the board that powers the LED temperature readouts. If needed let me know and I will call Whirlpool mfor you, Thanks, Sea Breeze

My Kitchenaid wine cooler KUWS246ESSO

Hi, First, put thermostat to max, listen for compressor coming on. to know if compressor working / running, listen for clicking sound from compressor, possible your compressor have a hard start (lock rotor) you can purchase a compressor hard start kit, from appliance supplier, and restart compressor, but first check thermostat, you can remove thermostat and bridge (connect )two wires you disconnected from it, always unplug / disconnect your appliances before attempting any repairs, normally in summer months, low voltages are frequent, listened for clicking sound from compressor, let me know, also check all other controls that are visibility, check line( receptacle) voltage with digital multi- tester, a 10% voltage drop could prevent some motors from starting/ operating. let me know what happened, i can guide you as to what's the problem. good luck.

KitchenAid French door refrigerator. How do I repair a non-working water Dispenser on it please?

Troubleshoot step by step and if that fails, resort to a professional: Check the Basics: Make sure the refrigerator is plugged in and receiving power. Verify that the water supply to the refrigerator is turned on. Inspect the Dispenser Actuator: The dispenser actuator is the component that activates the switch to send voltage to the dispenser. Check if the dispenser actuator is damaged. If so, replace it with a new one. I list a procedure for testing this actuator at the end of these basic steps. Frozen Water Tube: Disconnect the water supply tube at the bottom of the door. Blow air through it. If air doesn't pass through, the water supply tube may be frozen. Thaw it out and ensure the freezer is set to the proper temperature (0-10°F) to prevent future freezing. Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve opens to supply water to the dispenser. Ensure the water pressure to the valve is at least 20 psi. Use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve for continuity. If it lacks continuity, replace it. Check Water Filter: Remove the water filter and dispense water. If flow increases, the filter may be clogged or incorrectly installed. Replace the water filter if needed. Verify Water Supply Valve: Ensure the water supply valve (connected to the refrigerator) is fully open. If disconnected during service, it might not have been turned back on fully. And now, the testing of the actuator. To determine whether the dispenser actuator in your KitchenAid refrigerator is damaged, follow these steps: Visual Inspection: Look closely at the dispenser actuator. Check for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks, chips, or breakage. If you notice any physical damage, it's likely that the actuator needs replacement. Functional Test: Press the dispenser lever or button as you normally would to dispense water. Observe the response: Does the actuator move smoothly and engage the switch behind it? If the actuator feels stiff, loose, or doesn't move at all, it may be damaged. Listen for Clicking: When you press the dispenser lever, listen for a clicking sound. The actuator should make a distinct click as it activates the switch. If there's no click or an unusual noise, it could indicate a damaged actuator. Multimeter Test (Advanced): If you have a multimeter, you can perform a continuity test on the actuator. Disconnect the refrigerator from power. Remove the actuator cover (if applicable) to access the actuator. Set the multimeter to the continuity (ohms) setting. Touch the multimeter probes to the actuator terminals. If there's no continuity (infinite resistance), the actuator is likely faulty. Remember to exercise caution when working with electrical components. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing these checks, consider seeking professional repair assistance. Remember to consult your Owner's Manual for specific instructions related to your model. Much of this information comes from the RepairClinic site.

I would check the door seals as if not sealing damp air will enter and condense, causing water everywhere.

Hi, Kitchenaid kbfc42fts interior controls and lights blinking no alarms

If the interior controls and lights in your KitchenAid KBFC42FTS refrigerator are blinking but there are no alarms or error codes displayed, it may indicate a problem with the refrigerator's control board or power supply. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power cycle the refrigerator by unplugging it from the electrical outlet or turning off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in or turn on the circuit breaker.
  2. Check the refrigerator's power supply by ensuring that the electrical outlet is working properly and that the power cord is securely plugged in.
  3. Check the control board for any signs of damage or corrosion. The control board is usually located on the back of the refrigerator, behind a panel. If you see any damage or corrosion, you may need to replace the control board.
  4. Check the wiring connections between the control board and other components such as the lights, fans, and sensors. Loose or damaged wiring can cause communication issues and blinking lights.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it is recommended that you contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to diagnose and repair the problem.
