KitchenAid Architect KBRA20ERSS Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Sabbath Setting
I just bought the SamsungRF267AB bottom freezer refrigerator. Amoung the features that must be disabled for shabbos are the lights, motor cuttoff and inside panel indicators. On most refrigerators there is a swich that you can tape in the depressed mode that will trick the unit into thinking the door is still closed. With this unit it's magnetic. you need to place a magnet on the top of the door frame to make the refigerator think the door is still closed. I hope this helps.
Freezer won't open
If something is blocking the door. Try rocking the whole thing to knock it down. If that is not the case it might be frozen with ice. You will have to unplug it to let it thaw.

Hi,
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or
refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are
also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or
buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start
trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling
a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

The ice maker isn't working right. sometimes it
this is probably due to the lever on the bottom of your unit not initiating with the switch in other words its not turning it off when it fills and not turning it on when it emptys in time best thing to do would be to buy another icemaker they sell no parts for icemakers and it wouldnt be worth to buy them if they did best to just replace icemaker check marcone appliance parts they are pretty cheap on there icemakers please remember to rank how this opinion helped in you appliance situation and if i can answer any further questions message me back have a great day

Ice maker no longer works.
Hello,
Take off the back panel in the freezer. 1/4" screws. Use a nut driver or ratchet and socket with an extension.
2. Behind the frost is the evaporator and the defrost heaters. One heater in the middle and one at the bottom. They are glass tubes. If you can see the bottom heater that is great. If not use a hair dryer and defrost only the very bottom to expose the lower heater only.
3. Now in the refrigerator section at the top where the controls are, take off the long plastic piece to expose the timer. The timer should be on the right hand side and have a little circle that is slotted. Get a flat screwdriver and turn that timer slowly clockwise just until it clicks and the refrigerator turns off. This will put it into defrost.
4. Now look at that heater that you exposed and see if it glows and gets hot. If it does, then the timer is bad.
5. If the heater doesn't come on then go ahead and defrost the rest of the evaporator with the hair dryer. This will take a little while. Don't poke at the evaporator!!!
6. Once totally defrosted look at both heaters. They should look like clear glass and see a silver coil running thru them. If they look discolored at all then the heaters are bad. The heaters come as a complete assembly with the defrost thermostat which clips onto the evaporator.
7. If the heaters look ok the only way to know for sure if they are bad is to check continuity with a meter on the plug at the end of their wiring harness. If you can check that then you can splice in a new defrost thermostat to solve the problem. However the best thing to do is replace the heaters and defrost thermostat . It is easy to install.
Follow these steps and this will solve your problem.
Hope this helpout...........
Seems to be cooling fine but makes a buzzing sound
Hi,
The 7 second buzz would be from the water valve trying to fill the ice maker that is in the freezer.
My guess is that your refrigerator is not connected to a water supply. You can stop the buzz by opening the freezer drawer and turning off the ice maker, it will have either an on/off switch or an arm on the right side that lifts up and locks in place, that will stop the buzz
