Kenwood KDC-MP4032 CD Player Questions & Answers
No power on my Kenwood kdc mp 4032
I would use a test light or multimeter and see if you have system voltage at the back of the deck on the power wires. This will tell you whether the problem is with the Kenwood or the wiring and components coming to it. Remember the car has a radio fuse too

It just started flashing protect
"PROTECT" :- The speaker wire has a short-circuit or touches the chassis of the vehicle, and then the protection function is activated. Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button. If the "PROTECT" code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.
Reset is a tiny little hole hole to the right of preset buttons along bottom of unit, Insert paperclip to reset to factory settings?
Good luck with it

KDC-MP4032 head unit wont turn on
hi, seeing that your kenwood showed up "protect" you may have an audio circuit/amplifier fault within the unit. try resetting the unit to see if unit comes "on" again. if the unit comes on and protect flashes again, then you definitely have an internal audio circuit fault. if not then check all power connections(yellow and red wire voltages, as well as ground connection), as well as the condition of the face pins!
