Dell optiplex GX620 loud processor fan noise

I don't think you can install 8gb of ram into that desktop. If the processor fan is too loud check it for dust or any other obstructions. If there aren't any try replacing the fan - it could be a bearing in the fan.

Could not power up gx620, tried replacing PS still could not turn on, thought it might be I/O panel but still not on what next

The amber light within the Power Button indicates a PSU or Motherboard fault. If you have changed the PSU and it is a known good unit, please check the plug that connects to the Motherboard again. Assuming that this is ok, it may unfortunately be that the motherboard capacitors have blown (a well documented failiure).

Cooling fan speeds then cpu shuts down

That would indicate overheating ... do the usual checks = blocked vents, dust clogging the CPU heatsink etc .. Then the less likley, such as a loose fan cable, loose CPU (or other) heatsink etc. (you might want to reseat the CPU heatsink ...) Still no luuck ? Well, it's time to start unplugging things .. reduce your system to the minimium, maybe some plug-in card is upsetting things .. If 'none of the above', then it's possible the power-supply is sending incorrect voltages or the motherboard has failed in some way (eg the temprature sensor under the CPU chip)... PSU's are cheap, so replace that before replacing the motherboard

The computer won't let me in without a systm passwod it just started doing this

Virginia smith, Did you forget the password? Are there others that you share this computer with? System passwords are inputted in the computer by the users. Dell does not put any passwords in computers. Dell also does not have any generic passwords that will get you into the computer. You will need to find out the password, search the internet for password recovery websites, format and reinstall Windows or click the link below and view other ways that may be helpful in recovering the password. http://bit.ly/1SQkaX7 Thank You, Dell-Jesse L

Optiplex gx620 2 beeps on start up, displaying 123.

If windows 7 you need to burn a repair disc & run it. Go to Maintenance, creat repair disc (use one CD & mark it with Dell gx62 on top, repair disc run first on bottom) Restart your computer and hold down escape, F1 or F2 to get into the settings in the CMOS. You must chang the boot order of your startup. In CMOS use arrows to right to Boot to change to CD ROM then HDD so your CD will go into repair before starting the HDD. Each CMOS is different but usually you can use the f5 or f6 to change the order and f10 to exit & save the setting. Restart your computer after you put the repair disc in & that should repair your start up. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/wynn_5ba0205233ebfc15

I have a dell opticplex gx620. It was working perfectly until the windows crashed. I have been trying to reload windows xp but once i press f8 to accept it will show blue screen.

You need an actual Dell windows disk to reload to a new hard drive as it will flash the associated drivers and boot sequence to the RAM. Nothing else works with DELL!
