Philips go gear dozn't play anythng
you muat have gotten a cd alongwith the player...install philips device manager from the cd and connect the player to system.the program must detect the player and repair it by itself.

Got stuck
It might be happened due to corrupt music file or incompatible music file format.
How do I back up my music to my pc?
Connect player to pc and power, restart player while holding the volume + key, as soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume - key, your "my computer" will show a new removable drive now, and you can copy anything you want from it.
I can't see my philps gogear in my computer for free.

volume-+ (plus) switch., and as soon as the player shuts off, press

hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The computer will see the gogear as
a removable hard-drive now.
When i turn it on it says gogear and it frezzes

If this doesn't solve your problem, do the above procedure again. The computer will see the gogear as
a removable hard-drive now, so go to my computer and format it. Disconnect the player, after restarting it go to settings and choose "restore to factory defaults", this will restore the file structure on the drive.

Though the drive might be recognized by Vista, even with the media player running I wasn't able to load music on the player. The files were on the player, as the computer showed, but the player couldn't see them. Only for winXP!

Go there and download the PC Software. That should make your MP3 Player work with your PC again.
