Patio Heater pilot lights won't stay lit
crappy pilot flame (not properly heating the thermocouple), bad thermocouple, thermocouple loose where it screws into the pilot safety valve, bad safety valve magnet.
One or more of those is the problem.
Oh...there is also a saftey switch...in case it tips over. It will also cause the pilot to not stay lit (if the switch or wires that go to i are faulty)

My coleman patio heater pilot lights but when I
Check the tip over senser,,, it is a plastic senser located under the screen, usually near the knob. It has 2 wires running to it, jumper them together and try it,, then order a new senser from the manufature.
Good Luck

Pilot light lights but goes
This can be caused by a worn
thermocouple, these are consumable itmes that can last 1 to 5 years and will need to be changed. Sometimes it can also be a faulty
tilt switch and worth shorting out the tilt switch first. Just place a wire between the leads on the small black box to short it and try lighting. Found this site very helpful

My 2 year old (rusted and looking like a 10 year
Heaters that have rusted are tin plated or chrome finish, it can be hard to get a stainless steel heaters since some traders sell heaters as stainless steel but don't tell you the burner is made of tin. If you get a new heater just ask the question, is the burner tin or stainless steel? The problem with a burner that goes out can be a simple as changing the
thermocouple, these are consumable and last between 2 to 5 years depending on use and storage. But if you have a yellow tipping this is not good, this can be caused by wrong fuel mix or faulty gas valve and is not an easy fix. Found this site very useful

5040-750 patio heater lights, mantles
Hi there,
are there other indicators that could tell you if the heater receives electricity?
If you have a power tester please test the plugs of the heater for continuity or try plugging the heater to a known good power outlet.
If you've plugged it into a known good power outlet and it still does not light it could mean that you have a wiring problem.
Hope this helps!

What mantles do I use for a coleman patio
You didn't list a Model Number for your Patio Heater, so it's hard to say, which one you need.
However, you can contact Coleman direct at 800-835-3278 give them the Model Number and you can order one directly from them.
Hope this helped you.

The pilot light ignights but
i suggest you change thermocouple on heater it is the pilot control, firstly i would find where it attach's to valve and make sure it is screwed into valve properly (do not over tighten). If the pilot still doesn't go change the thermopile and if that don't work change the valve, but it most likely the thermocouple

Hi I push the button and hold it for many times
You may not be getting gas to the pilot, could be the regulator if the heater isn't new, could also be a blockage in the pilot orifice, the orifice is very, very small on these heaters.

My patio mushroom heater lights up ok but keeps
Hello,
Here's a few things to check. When you light the pilot, is it a strong blue pilot flame, a weak blue flame or a lazy yellow flame? Is it heating the thermocouple enough to make it red hot after a few minutes? If the pilot is small blue or lazy yellow flame, it may be dirty and need cleaned. When the burner lights, the weak pilot flame may diminish causing the
thermocouple to cool off enough to shut down the main burner. Clean the dirty pilot orifice by using a can of compressed air with
attached straw. (The same canned air you use to clean computer keyboards) Blow it into the pilot assembly where the pilot flame burns out from and blow thru the air holes on the side, if applicable. You might also check the thermocouple itself to make sure the tip is not partially burn't off. It should be a smooth, rounded tip. Replace the thermocouple if cleaning the pilot orifice doesn't solve the problem. Douglas
