My MF 6530 printer began printing light so we changed the cartridge and the machine began printing blank pages. When the other cartridge was put back in the machine, it too began printing blank pages. We have several of these machines in a couple of offices and have had this problem before. Canon is aware of the issue with this model, but I would like to know it as well. Can you help with what the problem is and the repair instruction? A friend of mine with this machine and the same problem, had called Canon and they had repaired it quite fast in his office. I'd like to do it myself in case it re-occurrs.

Most ADF's work by a simple little plastic tab that the sheet of paper touches. These can break or malfunction quite easily. I recommend opening the in-feed and gluing or taping the "trigger". Did it to mine awhile ago. It will always say there's something in it, but at least it'll work. Grim

This problem was solved by turning off the unit and unplugging the power overnight. The next morning it worked fine.

Tell it to print a "self-test" page. Some of the printed output will be the copy-count.

It needs a new image processor, hope its still under warranty. The part retail is around $400.00 I just ordered one for someone today!

try to reset the unit. this will erase the previous settings you have made..

check where that u removed the paper and see if one of the sensors is stuck or out of place. also look for a piece of paper. you may have to get a flash light to see better

You have to reinstall the firmware of the machine. You need a special service tool program
