Paper jam, but no paper is jammed.

this issue is due to internal sensor spring problem. do one thing insert some pin or long plucker in paper side space and push 2 small wheel ( which is like pushable switch (plunger) also, one is left side and second is at right side ) If not solved then re insert cartage and from back side if able to open then open case and give manually moment to main rotator , 100 % it will solve.

Error message - the paper

Check for either a small piece of paper that has torn and stuck, the paper sensor is triggering your "Paper Jam" message. If your printer has paper there for more than twenty seconds or if the printer is turned off and on and the sensor is still triggered it will report a paper jam. Next, check the sensor to see if it has come off the bracket when you pulled your stuck paper out of the printer. Also try and open the printer preferences in your Canon software, under the maintenance tab select quiet mode. Now re-download the printer driver and software, click on the link below to download and then restart your computer for the changes to take effect:

How do I clear error code 6500 ?

Error 6500 has no specific causes and no specific solution/fix. Sometimes, it's caused by Paper Jam, sometimes Waste Ink Tank Full, sometimes Carriage Problem and still many more. I would describe the most common causes and the respective fixes.

Simplest Trick: Open the front cover, pull the cartridges with the carriage and leave them somewhere on the passage, now close the cover and turn off the printer, again turn it on. If it's not a fatal error, there'd be no more problem and no more error displays on the screen.

First try this, open the hood (front cover), after the cartridges moved towards the other end/side, look at the other side (the side where the cartridges were sitting before it moved to the other side). You'll see the Waste Ink Tank Pads (sponge), remove them and clean them (they should have been soaked with ink, so use a hand-glove). Remove the pads and squeaze or wash and dry them, after they are cleaned and dried, reinstall (re-seat) them. Now power on the printer and check again.

Secondly, (remove the cartridges before you begin) open the doors and look for paper jam or anything inside the passage and through the paper passage. Use a blower to blow away all the dust and clear them out. Now turn off the printer and leave it for few minutes while you clean the cartridges, again switch on the printer, install the cartridges. Now see if it's still there or not.

Try turning the printer up-side down, shake it (do this while the machine is off) and again reboot it. Once again check the status.

Push in a photo paper (or similar thicker paper) into the sheet feeder, do this several times and again reboot the printer.

If the problem even after all these are done, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi folks, I get "paper

It might be either a dirty paper detecting sensor, or a dirty pick up rollers. Either of these could cause the symptom you are describing. A clean up of these might help. But, sometimes the pick up rollers might need to be replaced.

My PIXMA 450 is showing an error code 6500 on the

Hi there,

According to the Canon Pixma MP450 Printer the error code means :

*Error Code - [6500]
*Conditions - The PCI bus error is detected by the ASIC.

Try this step below and hopefully it fixes the problem.

Troubleshooting Step Below :

The 6500 error code is a logic board error code. The PCI Bus error is detected by the ASCI. Sounds like it needs new logic board. but i suggest you to first of all you can try to reset your printer -

1. Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).
2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer.
3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
4. Turn the printer back on. If this works you're done, if not try the next step.

1. After confirming that the printer is powered on, open the paper output tray.
2. Open the top cover and wait until the print head moves to the center.
3. Open the inner cover and check that ink tanks are properly seated.
4. Properly seated
5. Press down on each ink tank until a click is heard.
6. Close the inner cover and top cover

if reset method does not works for you then you may have to replace the logic board.
