the female is the switch! you can pop the top off and check with electric tester on ohms, make sure you unplug the drye check the breaker make sure you have 220 volts a in the outlet !

Looks like your drive motor is locked up. It has an internal overload switch which cuts power off when motor gets too hot...Replacement of the motor on a used dryer is probably not the best choice as it can be quite pricey..

Disconnect power or turn breaker off for about 5 minutes. This may reset the unit. Otherwise you have an eror showing and need to retrieve the error code. Google your make and model followed by error codes a d you should get a link to retrieve the codes.

This may be from a key that is stuck on the panel. Press each key individually to see if all of them move up and down.

We have the same machine. The drum also broke so we had it professionally installed. It wasn't done well enough and after the 90 day repair warranty, other problems developed. We still don't have a dryer and the next repair is $500 as other parts were damaged and we didn't catch it within the 90 days.
Bottom line: do have it professionally installed but be sure to ask about their work guarantee. As soon as you have any problem at all, call them back.

It might be the thermal cutoff switch. You could go online to see where it is located for that model dryer and have that tested.

Generally operation when cold that worsens with use indicates a component that is failing when hot. Start at the burner with the coils and work your way back to relays on the control. Sounds a lot like a bad coil on the burner. I have seen these do 2 complete loads then fail. Setting over night and cooling off will work again the same way. Intermittent conditions are a real challenge sometimes.

a bearing in the back for your drum sounds like what you describe. It needs to be taken apart and the bearing lubricated with high temp grease

unscrew all the panels and clean everything with bleach and soap,clean it outside so you can use a hose,soak it down,let it sit without the doors on for a few days in the sun

Have you had a power surge or power go out when the machine was running-----electronics go coo coo when this happens---it may be resolved by unplugging the dryer for a couple of days---then plug it back in & see if it does it again----another issue if the electronics get wet some how roof leak spilled water/fluid--hose replaced on washer which is usually next to the dryer---also check your owners manual to see if this is an issue do to a malfunction of electronics sending a code to check for an issue--that's all I dream up for now--sorry I couldn't do better
