I have the same problem with the lights flashing on the control panel. It pops up every 4 or 5 months. The only solution I have found is to press the delay/resume button one time then press the drain/off button twice. You may have to hold the keys down for a couple of seconds. This seems to reset something in the panel. Make sure you haven't pressed the 3 second lock button or it won't work.

With the unit switched on , switch off power at the wall switch for a few minutes , this should reset the computer , if not you will need a service call.

I believe most dishwashers will etch , to some degree, over time with repeated washings. The type detergent you use could also factor in as well as the temp you wash at.

check to see if your wash motor is getting voltage 110AC volts be carful not to get electrocuted

before you remove the board for diagnostics, check all the wiring connections in the unit, look for lose connectors, unplugged or broken wires. BEFORE YOU OPEN ANYTHING turn off the power to the unit.

auto clean 4 to 10 gal heavy wash 10 gal normal wash 4 to 8 gal light wash 4 to 6 gal rinse only 2 gal

Should be next too or on the control panel . No main fuses, uses house circuit breakers.

check for power to inlet valve if so repace inlet valve

No thier is no fuse so what the most likely problem will be a defectice door switch switch so even though the door is closed the switch thinks its open and will not allow the dishwasher to start.

Clearly a design or manufacturing flaw. I have the same model and the rack is disintegrating after 6 years. I believe it is a manufacturing flaw. Our previous dishwasher rack lasted over 20 years in the same conditions. Same construction, vinyl covered steel. New upper and lower racks cost over 200.00 and there is no guarantee that this won't happen every six years. I recommend a new non-Maytag dishwasher as soon as you can. Meanwhile, limp along with the defective racks.

My guess would be the door latch switch, if it is out of adjustment or not working the machine will think the door is open and won't run.Some dis-assembly might be needed of the door to locate and check the switch. See this

Well first I would have to know if the dishwasher is actually flowing with water or not. If their is no water flowing out then you probably just have a blocked line from deposits in the water. If you are getting water but the dishes arent getting clean then you probably have a bearing out on the wash rotor. hope that helps.
