Mp3 player got soaked, will not work
Get mini-screwdriver set, open mp3 player- all plastic case sides and components. Turn upside-down over papertowel (fold into two sheets for air movement and wter/moisture absorbtion... let all pcs. set for 2 days then re-assemble but do not overtighten screws. In some instances, the PC board in which the HF/LF electrical caps, resistors, diodes and such are soldered to- you can unscrew and remove these, also- BUT, remember how you took them out so you can replace them, also. Be gentile, take your time and do not short anything out by touching inner components with mini-screwdrivers, screws, or any metallic objects.
I use audible manager to mange the books on my mp3
Hi Try reinstalling the audible manager, it should download and install the mp3 player again aswell when you install it. Hopefully that will solve the problem aslong as your computer detects the mp3 player and you can view its contents from my computer or computer via your desktop or start menu, (probably shows up as a removeable storage device)
I need a driver!
Hello,
When connecting the player to a computer with XP it should be detected directly in Windows Media Player when:
1. The player is not locked.
2. Media Player 9 or 10 is installed and updated.
If the player does not respond or seems to be "frozen", the data on the
device might be corrupt. Then the player should be reformatted: this will erase all data ! How to format, see step 1 and 2:
STEP 1 - Connect the device to the computer
1. Remove the battery from the player’s battery compartment.
2. Put the hold/lock switch to lock.
3. Plug in your device to the computer.
STEP 2 - Format the device
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Right-click on the player, which might show up as a Removable Drive, select Format.
3. Click Start.
4. Click OK when a "Format Complete" dialog appears.
5. Click Close.
There are also updates/reinstallations for the player's firmware
when needed.Press play/pause/up button and repeat/ab/down button
to see the software version; model number, storage capacity.
