My water works on my refrigerator but my ice maker
Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it freezes and dumps , replace the water valve ( the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig ) . If it freezes and does not dump , replace the ice maker . Also check the rake ( rotating arm ) , to see if a small piece of ice could be blocking it , keeping it from turning . If so , the small cube could be an indication of not enough water going into the ice maker ( replace the water valve ) .
REGRIGERATOR IS NOT COOLING
It sounds like your refrigerant is leaking out. Without proper test gear you can't confirm this, but the first thing that happens is it stops cooling.
You need to call out a qualified refrigeration engineer to check it. You may be able to see oil at the back of the fridge around the leaking joint. Do not leave it switched on and running if you have a leak. Have you smelt anything unusual recently? The gas isn't dangerous in the quantities you would have from a leak unless it is exposed to a naked flame. Then it breaks down into a gas similar to mustard gas which was used during the first world war. If you didn't notice the smell of the refrigerant gas, you won't miss it if it is around a naked flame.

Just unplug the frig and open the freezer and let it defrost. Put the frozen items in the frig to keep them cold. Keep the frig closed if possible. You can assist the defrosting by blowing a window fan into the freezer. The room temp will defrost it quickly, or set a blow dryer on LOW and direct toward ice. Careful don't take the chance and turn that dryer on heat. And DO NOT CHIP ICE with a sharp object (patience is free). You may need to physically remove the water as the ice melts. - The source of the ice is probably condensation, or if it happens very quickly, there may be a ice maker leak. Once defrosted replace the frozen items and watch for cause of ice.
Icemaker not filling with water
Try
using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get
rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.
The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.
If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the
water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.

it sound like to me that it's freezing up. make sure that theres plenty of room aroound the food in the freezer for air flow and also is the gasket ariung the freezer in good condition? also is it clean and making good contact with the unit?
Hose from door dispensor hook to refrigerater
it should hook up to a water line with a coupling at the bottom of the freezer door. take the kickploate off and then look underneith the refrigeraqtor and there should be a clear plastic tube there3 to hook up to.

It sounds like the ice in the bin is warming up enough to melt for some reason then re-freeze. Check your door gasket seal and also the ice chute door flapper seal to make sure warm room air isn't being drawn into the ice bin area. Also make sure the freezer area is VERY cold like 0 degrees F or lower, that will keep the ice hard and help stop the ice from having a liquid surface film from opening and closing the freezer door too often (then freezing again). The water down the back is from the ice cubes melting a little then re-freezing. Also, is the frige working OK? Does the compressor turn on and off normally? I ask because sometimes the compress start device is failing and the refer can warm up quite a bit while the compressor is trying to start up... eventually the compressor will start but by then the ice has melted a little then the compressor runs for a long time to bring the temps down again. Monitoring with a thermometer every hour will show if the temps are lowering in the freezer section too much.
