Try the ff:

1. Are you also using a wireless internet? If you are and you cannot also connect on wireless, make sure that the wireless is enabled on your laptop. On the left side of the laptop there is a on/off switch push the switch to on. (beside the usb port).

2. if it is already on, make sure that the bluetooth is enabled also, you can check it on control panel, system, hardware, device manager, bluetooth, right click on bluetooth driver, if you see enable bluetooth click on it, if you see"disable bluetooth" that means it is already enabled.

3. If the above is already configured, lastly, look for the bluetooth icon (bluetooth manager) on the lower part of the screen on the taskbar/tray if you see the bluetooth icon, right-click on it then click "Enable Bluetooth Radio". Now, if there is no bluetooth icon on the tray at the lower right of the screen, go to Start, Toshiba, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Settings, inside the Bluetooth SEttings, click on Bluetooth, Options, CLick on Enable Bluetooth Power, also, inside the Tray Icon (still inside Bluetooth Settings) select an icon so you can always see the status of your bluetooth on the Tray and you don;t need to do and check everything everytime you cannot connect via Bluetooth.

power up or boot up? if boot up its not likly to be an electrical problem its a OS problem, and ill be able to help with that, but as far as fail to power up... thats a bad cord, or bad battery if u have questions feel free to call.. 951-210-4757

No hard drive installed,functioning or readable.This can mean a faulty hard drive or sometimes motherboard.

Try download and reinstalling your audio drivers.Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ToshibaSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.

You probably need to replace the cooling fan, but you can try cleaning it out first. Get a can of compressed air or use an air compressor to spray pressurized air into the vent to spray dust out. If this doesn't work, you probably need to replace the fan. I actually found a guide for opening up the Qosmio G25 and replacing or cleaning the cooling fan. Check it out:

You can try the XP driver Win7 uses XP/Vista/or 7 drivers you never know which is going to be most compatible.

You could use external Optical Drive. Or you could make bootable USB flash drive. But to be honest - first solution much better. As you can always use that drive for recording and reading CD/DVD

Toshiba Qosmio has many advantages, eg tv, wifi, and the extra screen width...
Disable some features might reduce the power consumption.

If you can find a monitor to connect to and know how to tell the PC to send a signal to it (ie, on a dell it is Function F8) you can determine if it is your Video card or your screen that has failed.

I do not know any function the tells a computer to give a white stripe.


My guess is hardware.

If your model Toshiba laptop has a Restore partition on thehard drive then follow these steps to restore your Toshiba to the Out of theBox condition.
1. Press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power buttononce to switch on
your notebook.
2. When the machine Starts beeping; release the 0 key.
3. When prompted by the warning screen; select Yes to continue with the systemrecovery.
4. Select Recovery of Factory Default Software; click Next.
5. Select Recover to out-of-box state. 6. Click Next again.
7. Click Next to Start recovery.
8. Restart the Toshiba laptop when there restoration process finishes running.Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to set up the laptop's date, timeand language settings.

If it isn't already, try plugging it in, it might have run out of battery power. Otherwise, you would have to remove the top shell of the computer (where the keyboard is housed) to get to your power button to make sure it's plugged into the motherboard properly, unless it's still under warranty, in which case, you could send it in and have them do it for you, so long as it wasn't the first problem.
