LG Tromm washer WM2688HWM tE error code. Very easy

LG Tromm Washing machine te error. The manual says to call for service. Not much help there. The reason for the error is the thermistor circuit (resistive element that becomes less resistive as it increases in temperature). The thermistor acts as a heat sensor. In many cases, the error occurs because the wireing harness is too tight at the bottom of the drum and one of the wires in this circuit becomes disconnected with all of the movement of the drum (unbalanced load, normal cylcing etc).

1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall. The thermistor circuit is at line voltage (110 in the U.S.) and it will bite! So do this first before proceeding.

2. Move the washer out so you can get access to the back of it.

3. Remove the stainless panel (the one that is not painted, it is large (aprox. 16x18 inches). It is held in place by 4 phillips screws.

4. Locate the thermistor connection block near the bottom of the machine, at the center of the wash drum. It is the small white connector that has two wires running to it. One wire is dark blue, the other is light blue. Insure that neither wire has pulled out of the connector. If either of them have, repair the connector and provide enough extra wire ( aprox. 2") to provide cable relief.

5. If the cable connector and wires are ok, there are other solutions here that recommend either cleaning or replacing the thermistor.

Good luck to you.

Go here, put your model number in to see all parts in your washer,if you think you can change out the hose then do it,find the hose on the diagram, get the part number and order it,or the hose could have pulled off from an unbalanced load but you're looking at it,if it has a hole in it replace it,if it just has to be realigned then do it.this ain't heart surgery lol.just unplug the washer before you open it up.good luck with it.

Whirlpool frontend washer smelly cloths...need

I have this problem with my Siemens machine, it is due to mainly running low temp washes and bateria building up in the hoses etc. (more prevalent if the machine is connected directly to the sink and not on a stand pipe). I run a 90 degree cycle every 4 weeks with the machine empty except for two capfuls of baby sterilisng fluid (approx half a mug) I buy stores own as it is cheaper than miltons. The first time I did mine I ran the cycle twice to be sure it was cleared out. My machine is six years old and the first smelly signs were when it was about a year old, I run the maintenance wash religiously ever 4 weeks and run a machine descaler such as oust thru every 4-6 months. Hope this helps. Roni. (ps don't be tempted to use bleach as it foams up and can cause more problems!!)

Take top off, take control panel off, take front off. Now you can get to pump. Check videos from repairclinic.com, appliancepartspros.com or YouTube.com for how to. Not that hard. Just many steps.

Why is water sitting in soap dispenser pullout drawer?

Water remaining in soap dispenser. In front loading washers made by LG (some Kenmore too), water may remain filled in the soap dispenser after the wash cycle. This may be caused by the siphon tube being contaminated by detergent residue. To clear it, remove the siphon cover from the tube, and clean them thoroughly, making sure that all residue is removed. Replace the cover and make sure it seats properly all the way down. This will ensure that the siphon starts and continues until the dispenser tray is emptied. A small amount of water, a half inch or less, remaining is normal. There is a video on YouTube that suggests buying a new detergent tray. Try cleaning it first. There are no parts that will break or wear out under normal use.

I have an 10+ YO LG Tromm Washer and it appears to be working by the computer diisplay and dial continues to flicke. Is it worth fixing?.

That will depend on what your options are, and what you can afford. First, get a estimate on repairing your machine from a reputable dealer. Then, price a new machine, and perhaps a guaranteed used machine. Understand that washers are more and more being made by "robots", and often will not last more than 7-10 years. \Also remember, the more electronics in the machine, the more things that can go wrong with it. Some people opt for the most simple machine you can buy. God bless your efforts.

LG Tromm washer is not working with getting LE

LE code means locked motor error. you need to check the Hall Sensor. unplug the power, remove the rear washer panel, locate the Hall sensor connector on the stator behind the rotor. you can test it with an OHM meter for failure. it may just be an unstable connection.
