LG 50 PX1D PROBLEM. Screen is snowy, with a kind
This could be internal power supply noise. If you are experienced atTV service you can use a scope and go through all the power supplydistributions to see if any of them are noisy.
Another cause could be a defect somewhere along the digital signalpath. There could be some system clocking errors, or some noise generation taking place.I recommend have it checked by a Service Technician for faulty parts.

When troubleshooting these units, there are always several variables to consider. First check to see what last occurred with the unit such as did the children play video games, did the electricity go out due to bad weather. You may see that there are many possibilities but let's focus on what occurred last to the unit. Once we determine what happened last, we may isolate the actual cause of the problem. The actual cause may be associated with projection issues, older versions (Picture tube), interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common with the error you have provided today. Please continue to look for anything EXTERNAL to the unit before looking at the internal components. I have been working on these a long time so feel free to follow up with me.
TV LG Model 50PX1D-UC Flat
Hello,
The problem is that there is a bad capacitor inside the unit, it is either on the main panel or the power panel. The popping sound you got was due to the fact that the lead on the capacitor was bridging, therefore causing some electrical popping sound.
Run a check on the main panel and the power panel for any bad capacitor and replace it with a new one. That way, your television will be in good condition once again.
Take care and good luck
I have a 50 in plasma tv and a couple of weeks ago
Definitely check the power supply voltages first, anytime you hear popping it could be a number of things... Since sound works and not the display it is probably not the power supply but please rule that out first and we will go from there.
Thanks

My tv lost its color and has a black spot on the
Sounds like you YBU-YBL (Y-Buffer Upper-Lower) and the Y-SUS/Main is out. The Y buffer upper controls the top half and the YBL the lower half. The YSUS control all of this. The YSUS is also connected to of course the Power supply board and the logic board.
LG TV PDP50X30010 shuts off
That is most likely the all to common power board failure. It can be tested with a voltmeter, by testing the power coming into the board from plug-in and then from power board to other components. The capacitors on the board can be tested with an anoalog meter.
Dots on screen
The snowy dots and dots are typically from a poor signal going into the TV.
If there are colored pixels that stay lit all the time (like a red pixel and never goes away) and for any input, that’s called a stuck pixel.
A stuck pixel may be caused by a bad Y-Sustain, Y-drives, Z-sustain, and or a bad plasma panel.
Good Luck.

Actually there is no proper way to diagnose a problem like that without having it on a bench in a competent service shop. There is obviously a trouble in the video process section. That has a large latitude of things that could cause the problem. Sounds like it's internal and not much you can do at home. I would check with the place you purchased it from and have them refer you to a repair service.
Since manufacturers don't really want you to repair your equipment if it's out of warranty they won't provide service for it. A service center is your only hope. Check around in your area and see the choices. Its getting tougher and tougher to find competent television service people that really know what they are doing. I wish you luck finding one.
Technicians need to be paid for their services consequently they charge quite a bit. They will guarantee their repairs but not the whole television. It depends on what it's worth for you to have it repaired. Get an estimate first.
