Hi lc99527,
This is an indication of faulty ballast board and or its power supply(gone to out-of-regulation) and once sense by the feedback circuitry it will automatically shuts off the power supply. First check for bad solder joints (crack/cold/dry joints) in that section. This is hard to spot, I would advice you use table/portable lamp or work in the brightest area to locate it. Once found, resolder it. Also check for leaky/dried electrolytic capacitor. Sometimes it has a bulged at the top but not all, you must have a capacitor checker to determine its condition. Shorted driver transistor in the ballast board will do the same symptom as well as faulty ballast transformer.
Isolating the symptom is technical and if you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to troubleshoot the problem.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
My lg 62sx4d-ub will not
I just had the same problem. Came down to a bad cap on the main power supply board C871. This is the first filter cap after the diode on the 6V supply. Funny,, the schematic calls for a 25V part,, however this one was rated at 16V :-)
Replaced with a new one,,, all is good to go!

Got sound but no picture
sounds like a scaler malfunction.. but could be something else.
this tv is know for having bad capacitors.. check my tutorial on caps, they can give many symptoms and quite possibly are bad. if not, then you need a digital main board, or main board.

I've been told I need a DM module by a tv repair
The service manual is available from
www.partstore.com
It is part number Part# 3828VD0222B for $2.95
Hopefully the entire DM Module would not need replacing. Hopefully just capacitors in the DM module need replacing and if that is the case part store has these in stock. Their phone number is 866-925-7278
LG 62SX4D-UB TV won't come on
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. You’ll need to reset the Projection TV and to reset it follow
these steps:
- Turn off the television and
wait for 5 minutes.
2. After 5 minutes unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the television remain without power for more then 1 minute.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. If the television is
plugged into a power surge protector, remove it from there and plug it directly
into the wall outlet. Turn on the television. If the issue is resolved, then
the problem is with the power surge protector and not the television.
If the issue is not resolved then this might
have happened due to over-voltage. Please check the power supply unit for
swollen/bulged capacitors and burnt wires/components on the power supply board
of your TV. You should try and turn off the TV for 8-10 hours to reset it. Please make sure to turn off and
unplug the TV for at least 1 hour (this will drain off current from
all components especially capacitors) before you perform any repairs. Also note
that the TV consists of very high voltages even when it is in OFF condition.
All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to
solder/re-solder components.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for
further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
