What size air filter fits
Recommend a washable lifetime filter that can be custom fitted for your unit. There are many different brands of cut to fit and custom sized filters available. The original filters supplied with the unit are usually washable as well although the manufactures are not including it all the time anymore.
Need to be replaced freon leak what is cost of
Depending on what part of the country you are in the cost can very, The EPA regulations have made the cost of working on systems more costly, with that being said, in CA where I am it can be any where from $550 and up depending on the size and access of the system and what coil needs replaced.
Display says battery power ac not working
you have lost control power from the unit, either line voltage/breaker tripped, or low voltage from control transformer which may have a blown fuse and a short in the control wiring to the thermostat
I have a Ruud Achiever model UPKA 043JAZ purchased
yes you can, the coil on yours is probally 24 volt, but you have to look and find the amp ration for that contactor and but the same thing, If you can change one wire at a time great but sometimes you can, take a dig pic of it or make a drawing of what you see. hope this helps. wally
High pressure valve tripped due
The most likely suspects are the contactor - relay and the capacitor. But normally the contactor controlls both the compressor and fan motor.
Furnace is a Rudd UGEB
Sounds like the fan limit was not replaced correctly. You can try switching the blower to the On position (instead of Auto), if the furnace runs properly with the blower on that would be the most likely culprit.
Evap moter not running varable speed model#
You say you replaced the motor + mod. I'm not sure what a mod is unless it's a module. You might want to replace the fan capacitor. I feel that this was what was wrong to begin with.
Getting excessive condensation causing water
Hello, in order to get to the evaporator coil you must cut into the plenum above the Furnace. This will require sheet metal tools and being very careful not to puncture the coil. Many times a cracked condensate pan under the evapoartor coil can cause water to leak down to the base of the unit.
I have a ruud ubhc-14j11sfd
Look at the data plate on the unit, You need the LRA locked rotor amps, and RLA run load ampsIt will also show max fuse size and min fuse size. A 3-4 ton unit should run on the gen, but starting is my question, this can be 3-7 times run load amps.
Why is my AC not turning on in the outside unit??
1st off check the breaker for the unit outside, reset it off and then back to on, it should positively click, if crunchy or anything other than a crisp click, replacement is indicated. If that is not the issue, go to the electric disconnect at or near the unit. It may be on the wall with a cord going to the AC unit.Open the lid and see if there is a fuse block/plug that has a metal handle, remove and test/ohm the fuses for continuity, if no tester is available a battery and a light will work with wire, just use the fuse in the circuit to see if the light works.Odds are the fuses, Time delay type fuses (important) are blown/bad.Always buy time delay fuses! the non delays will fail, its a good idea to replace these every other summer. If this is not the issue then the "contactor", a 24 volt electromagnetically actuated relay is what controls the high voltage to the fan and compressor in the AC unit. You will need a meter to check for power, 24 volts at the coils terminals on the contactor and 220-240v at the contactors terminals.Carefully depress the contactors top part that moves with contactor energization with an insulated screwdriver, this will simulate the contactor operating normally, and if that works you know the issue is not the compressor or fan.As always with power unless familiar with it, I dont suggest to try the testing beyond the fuses.
Air conditioner was on yesterday
Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. First thing to do is go to the furnace take off the lower blower door and locate the circuit board turn the power off to the furnace. In the circuit board there should ba a small car like fuse usually 3 or 5 amps check the fuse it is probably blown replace the fuse with the same amperage fuse and then turn the power back on on the furnace and check the operation of the furnace.
My son has a Rudd
If you pull the bottom door off, or where the blower motor is, the filter should be withsight.
