Whirlpool f28 error code and door lock light
For the F28 error code:First, check the wiring harness connections to the MCU, the Motor, and the CCU. Make sure all the connections are tight and there are no ground wires off. Then check the connections of the CCU board within the housing. If the wiring connections are fine then It would be a good idea to order both, as both components have been problematic for the error code F28.Here is a link to the CCU.Here is a link to the MCU.

Error F28
The F28 code is a comm failure between the MCU and the CCU. First, check the wiring harnes connections to the MCU, the Motor, and the CCU. Make sure all the connections are tight and there are no ground wires off. Then check the connections of the CCU board within the housing. Yes, I read a couple past members that diagnosed it as the MCU being the cause more than the CCU.So you can order the MCU and/or the CCU, then I'd install the MCU first to see if that fixes it.

Wfw8300sw04 does not complete wash cycle. Clothes stay wet and door does not unlock.
Assuming that you mean the washer stops at the spin cycle and door remains locked, then thats normal safety precaution when tub has water in it. If the drain pump is bad or restricted this could be a reason for this happening. You can get the door opened by taking off the bottom front portion of the washer also known as a kickplate. Once this is done with the machine unplugged you can reach up on the right side an there usually is a plastic tab that you pull that will release the door catch. While your down there you can check the drain pump, located in the front center of the machine. On most of the front load the pumps have a center piece facing forwad that you can twist to the left to unscrew and remove any debris that could be blocking water flow. If this is the case you still may need to replace the drain pump depending on how long somethings been in the pump. Note that while you're doing this you will also find what they call a tech sheet inside the machine. This will give you step by step instructions on how to enter the diagnostic mode, and run test etc. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at
