Ee 12 code

Hi alaskasteve,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks area of Alaska. EE12 is the error code for overheating. Most likely you have a Laser 30 giving you this error code. The most common reason for the EE12 error code is that the Toyo is not getting enough air circulation across the heat exchanger and causing it to overheat. Look at the back of your Toyo where the black frame around the circulating fan and flue pipe is. You will see a screen that slides in a slot at the back of the Toyo. Slide the screen out and clean it. If you have a smoker or the Toyo is in a kitchen area where it collects nicotine or grease then you may need to clean it with hot water, detergent, or 409 Cleaner to get the sticky residue off that the dust fuzz collects on and clog your screen. EE12 can be caused by a couple other issues, but they are more rare. Try this first and let me know if it works! toyotechnician

MPI monitor flashing e17 code

I have had the intake portion of the outside intake/exhaust fitting get packed in by freezing up during a windy storm, cutting off the intake air and giving an error 17. Had to get up on a ladder and chip away the packed snow and ice to open up the airway.

E-14 code mpi monitor 2400

It sounds like you have a fuel problem, check to see if there is some kind of blockage in the line or at the tank value.

I have an MPI monitor heater model gf 1800. It keeps flashing E17. why?

My GF 1800 was flashing the e17 code as salenski_mar said.If all is clear around vent pipe, sufficient fuel in tank, ect. take the front cover off the unit,2 sheet metal screws on bottom side left and right(remove power first)on the left side of my unit there is a round black barell shaped container called a heat exchanger.Located about halfway up a small panel with 2 white tube shaped wires going into it.remove 4 screws on this panel and remove the panel. There are 3 electrodes here . carefully clean these with a rag or fine sandpaper. Reassemble and retry the heater.I watched a heating tech do this to my unit and charge me $75.00 last year.Did it again this year and I saved a service call.Actualy I believe he used a $20.00 bill instead of sandpaper but clean the flame sensor and it may work.worth a try.

Monitor 422 lights then goes out

Sounds like your flame rod may be dirty. You can take it out and clean it with some steel wool or sandpaper or emory cloth. If this doesn't help email me at [email protected].

Mpi monitor 422 heat problem

I had the same problem last night and this morning. Its in the manual. I had to take the fan off of the back and vaccuum out all of the dust/lint that built up and it was a lot. It is a safety feature. It's a overheating protection feature that usually triggers if there is build up in the fan, front vent or vent pipe to the outside. I hope this helps.

Do not buy a Toyo in Fairbanks.

You are right. The "service" in Fairbanks for Toyos is almost non-existant. My company has been tuning and servicing Toyos for over 12 years here in Fairbanks. We have tried to get a dealership but the main company, Toyo USA and the regional rep., REE refuse to allow us to be dealers. We have tried several times over the years. We buy parts in bulk from outside sources and pass the savings onto the customer.
A letter to Toyotomi or Toyo USA will not work. They don't care.
There is one person with a van that will "Tune" a toyo in your home. Don't use them. It is not possible to properly service a Toyo in your home. There is fiberglass and creosote dust that will get everywhere weather they use a vacuum or not. That's assuming they even clean your burner pot. Our company was started because of this poor service in this town. We operate by word of mouth only and have about 2 dozen regular customers.

My Laser 30 went into power saver mode by itself and now I can't get it out of said mode, otherwise it's working well.

Rick, Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Toyo, first off do you have a manual for your stove? If not, you can download one online, I've included the link for your convenience. Your Toyo has a series of control buttons across the top and/or the front, the "On/Off" button for the "Power Saver Mode" is located in the middle. You can turn the mode On or Off, though you actually WANT to utilize the Power Saver Mode. It's intended to prevent unnecessary ignitions on the stove, thereby lowering your electrical consumption as well as wear & tear on the stove. All you need to do is set a maximum and a minimum temperature and whenever the temperature is not within the parameters you've established the stove will then either ignite to heat the area to your pre--determined setting or shut off until the temperature is within the parameters you've established. If there is NO error code(s) showing, and the stove is running fine, then I would not be concerned. Though I do suggest you immediately download the manual, read it thoroughly, and when necessary use it to troubleshoot future issues. I hope this helps you, good luck and stay warm! RInnai Water Heater

The only way that I have found to work is to place a small electric water heater close to the point of use. Yes this does defeat some of the efficiency of having a tankless water heater but if you figure electric rates are now cheaper than gas rates in some areas, it may save you money.

Another alternative is to put a domestic circulator in-line and recirc the domestic water either all the time or install a timer.

None of these options are "low-buck" options.

15' of 1/2" copper holds less than 1 gallon of water so something is wrong with the heater if it takes 3 gallons to get hot water to the faucet.

My Toyo Laser 30 has an error code EE 5 and I can't find any info on that particular code. Help?

Call manufacturer or Installer - Direct Vent Furnaces are not a DIY service. Carbon Monoxide is deadly and can easily be emitted if there is something wrong with the heater. Get professional help before anything further is done, as it needs a full inspection for your safety.

I have a monitor 2200

EE13 on a Monitor is one thing. The same code on a Toyostove is completely different. A Monitor EE13 means there was no flame at ignition. On a toyostove EE13 is the burner thermistor.

On the Monitor I would check my fuel tank. On the Toyo you may have to have the dealer help you, as it could be something easy like a very cold day or more complicated as a main circuit board.
