Everything is out, we have it off, no water is draining. The freezer just stopped cooling, hence the refridgerator side stopped too. I just turned it on after 5 hours. The motor is running and so i

Could be that your self defrost mechanism is not working and unit is freezing up and not cooling. Till fixed just defrost overnight and turn on next day. It will run fine for a few days till it freezes up again. Probably need to replace open heater element. Go to sears web site for part number and then purchase it for less money on ebay.

ICE MAKER NOT WORKING

Ice makers can be purchased inexpensively on ebay for about 45 dollars. Otherwise the hassle can be caused by the solenoids feeding the unit water, the icemaker thermostat, heater element, cam motor, cam sequence, icemaker "off" switch, etc. Also check to make sure that the water line feeding refrigerator is working!

ASD2620HRB

I think the best way to answer your question is to provide you with an Amana=> ASD2620HRB Parts List If you do not have Adobe Reader Click=> HERE Once you have the PDF open I want you to go to pages 22 and 36. The defrost heater is installed just like the parts/evaporator, clips are shown where the defrost has to mounts it to your evaporator. Then go to page 36 and bottom right corner of the diagram shows two different colors of wires. The brown wire makes a loop through one side of the defrost thermostat. The orange wire connects to the other side of the defrost thermostat and the orange wire also connects to the defrost heater. Please ask should you have questions and please rate my solution, Thanks Sea BreezeASD2620HRB Parts List.PDF

Ice maker

Kevin if your model number ASD2622HR is correct you can test your water control vave after removing the front cover.of the ice maker using a ohm test points you should get from the N and V test points should show around 150 to 350 ohms of resistance. Then ohm test test ports L and H test points are for testing the mold heater. The dual water control valve ca still be defective mechanically so tell me is there water or ice still remaining in the ice slots? Pour tap water into ice maker and allow to freeze and if ice maker cycles and drops the ice into ice bin then does not refill with water that will indicate a defective water control valve. You should get around 72 ohm's of resistance. NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

My Amana freezer won't stay frozen, I think

You will have to remove the back panel inside the freezer to see how frosted the evaporator coil is. Then form there, you can test the heater coil, the defrost termination thermostat. If the edge between the freezer and the fridge is hot, ( warm is normal) please check the condenser fan if it is running or if the condenser coil is clean. If the condenser coil is dirty, vacuum it and give it a good cleaning.

If the fan is not running, either lubricate it or replace it if it is bad. Regarding the filter, if you can see a round piece of cover at the lower kick panel of the unit, freezer side, then that is the cover for your water filter. Sometimes, the filter is located on the fridge side, top most shelf right side. If you see a cannister there, then that is your water filter.

Hope helps.

The freezer is cold, the fridge is warm, and the

Hello,

Ya got 2 possible thing that will cause that

1) the damper in the upper left corner of the refrig.compartment is stuck closed so no cold air can enter from the freezer into the fresh food compartment,by placing your up to that damper their should be some (not a lot) of air flowing through it. If not it is stuck closed

2) its not defrosting in the freezer so the freezer coil where all cold air is made is totally one huge block of frost again causing air flow into the fresh food compartment to be cut off.Do you see frost build up on the back wall of the freezer?? if so this link describes what to check http://www.fixya.com/support/r10097882-wrong_when_freezer_frosted_refrig_warm

Water leaking onto floor coming

Hello,

Their are a couple things causing that leak

1) the water valve(s) for the icemaker/door dispenser are leaking. Pull the refrif. out, remove service panel from the rear and inspect the valve(s) for leakage. Sometimes their is just one valve on certain models their is two.

2) the drain for the auto. defrost cycle in the bottom of the freezer back wall is blocked so the defrost water is running out of the freezer door at the bottom

Good luck,i hope i have able to help you stop the leak,
