Avanti 308YWT Compact Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Hi I have the Avanti
Check the back wall or floor of the freezer section forfrost. Check the freezer (evaporator) fan to see if it is running. Check thecondenser coils (under the unit) for blockage from dust. Check the condenserfan (under the unit) to see if it is running.
If you have frost in the freezer there is a problem with the defrost system andthe freezer will start to warm eventually as well as the fresh food section. Ifthat is the problem you can check the defrost terminator, defrost heater/s, andthe defrost timer or adaptive defrost control If used on your unit or the maincontrol board if so equipped. These things usually require dismantling thefreezer and other areas of the refrigerator to be checked.
You could defrost the freezer by disconnecting the power to the refrigeratorand letting it sit for at least 24 hours with both doors wide open to allow thefrost to melt completely but it will build up again in 1-2 weeks and start thewarming up again.
Hope this will help you. Good Luck.
I have a compact avanti
There are three possible reasons for this;
\the thermostat needs replacing
\The refrigerant has leaked out
\ the compressor has failed
Either way you will need a technician to look at this as it involves an electrical diagnosis
For the temperature, to make it colder to we turn
Normally the lower number is more cooling and hence the setting is ideal to be kept at mid point.
In twin door adjustment witth single control lower setting more cooling to freezer and as it goes up the temp of the fridge increases.
So you might need to recheck with this model

Hi.
Try resetting and defrosting the Avanti. To do this turn temperature on OFF, disconnect power cord and remove all food from inside.
Reset and defrost can fix a jammed temperature control.
If that does not work, then the thermostat may need to be replaced.
Here the manual with parts breakdown and service numbers. To book service or to order parts call 800 220 5570. Before calling service, do the defrost suggested above. This is usually enough to fix the problem.

Hi,
It sounds like defective Temperature control but there could be few other reasons. Check the Below How you need to test the Temperature control :-

My avanit 308YWT compact refrig isn't cooling on
hi
it seems there is an ice build up at the rear of the freezer. Your problem is going to be with your defrost system. I will also assume you have the ability to repair this yourself. This is going to be one of three problems with your refridgerator, 1st thing to do is remove shelfs and panel in the back of the freezer...you should see ice build up on the evaporator...don't worry get a hair dyer and melt the ice. Next locate the wires for the heater...using a multi meter test the heater for condinuity...if the heater is bad replace it, If the heater is good replace the defrost thermostat..the stat normally is a barrel looking part clipped onto the evaporator pipe. The last possible problem could be the evaporator fan, have you heard the fan running in the past few hours..if you are not sure pull the panel out to where you can see fan and watch it over an hour to see if it turns.
hope this will solve the prob
if u ve further queary plzz do inform us.
all the best

Avanti wc1500dss wine chiller not getting cold but does the opposite gets hot

The above has a troubleshooting matrix.
Power supply: Check if the wine fridge is receiving power from the mains supply. If it's not, there might be a major issue with the mains power or the PSU circuit board in the product that'll likely need replacing if it's faulty.
Condenser fan: The condenser fan is designed to cool the condenser and condenser coil within the Avanti wine cooler. If it doesn't function, the condenser and coil can overheat - causing the internal area of the wine fridge to heat up too. Take a look at the rear of the unit and make sure the condenser fan is spinning freely and not blocked (by dust / dirt) or making excessive noise due debris or a blockage.
Thermostat: If the Avanti wine fridge thermostat is working correctly, it's responsible for making the condenser, evaporator, fan, and compressor work - so it's super important! The thermostat also allows you to control and adjust the temperature of the wine cooler so if the reading on thermostat is inaccurate (or flat out wrong) the wine cooler temperature will likely be inaccurate too.

Avanti WCR683DZD-2 LED panel blinks when plugged in. Fan or compressor does not come on. Where should I start to begin trying to repair the unit
If your Avanti WCR683DZD-2 wine cooler's LED panel is blinking when plugged in and neither the fan nor the compressor comes on, there could be a few potential issues. Here are some steps you can take to begin troubleshooting and attempting to repair the unit:
- Check power supply: Ensure that the wine cooler is receiving power by verifying that the outlet is functioning correctly. Try plugging in another device to confirm if the outlet is working properly.
- Inspect the power cord: Examine the power cord for any signs of damage or wear. Make sure it is securely plugged into the wine cooler and the power outlet.
- Check the control board: The blinking LED panel suggests a possible issue with the control board. Inspect the control board for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt components or loose connections. If you are knowledgeable about electronics, you can attempt to repair or replace the control board. Otherwise, it may be best to consult a professional technician or contact Avanti for further assistance.
- Test the temperature control thermostat: The thermostat controls the operation of the fan and compressor. Using a multimeter, you can check the continuity of the thermostat to determine if it is functioning correctly. If it is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
- Examine the compressor: Inspect the compressor for any visible issues, such as loose connections or damaged wires. Ensure that it is receiving power and that the compressor motor is not overheating. If the compressor is not running, it may require professional servicing or replacement.

I have an Avanti BCA280 that won't cool.
The most likely reason for commercial coolers and fridges not cooling is a low gas state. Did you get your gauges out and check the high and low side pressures before you started swapping parts out?
