Fisher and Paykel Active Smart E522B Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The fridge isn't as cold as it should be, all
Seems to be a common problem. Same problem with our fridge. (10 minutes to fix = apprx. $200) One of the wires for the fan breaks. I suspect F&P know about this and I suspect are making a lot of money in repairs

I have a Fisher & Paykel E522B fridge that has
Check fans in freezer and near compressor. Is compressor running continuously or clicking on and off? If fans are running and compressor is running continuously, your problem is most likely within sealed system. That would require a technician and may not be cost effective to repair.

Beeping constantly in middle of night
My fridge (E440T but I believe the E522B is similar) also had a broken fan wire. I pulled off the panel and re-soldered the wire. I also created a document for others to follow if interested at http://www.accentis.com.au/downloads/misc/How I fixed my Fisher and Paykel Fridge Active Smart Fridge.pdf
Thanks to all postings on this site - it really helped a lot.

Why my freezer is snowing in cooler section
excess ice could be due to the door not sealing correctly, so ice would appear inside around the door area where the door seal does not seal correctly, OR the defrost heater may be faulty.

No power to the fridge
could be PCB, relay or compressor. Make sure the power cable is not damaged, and seek assistance from a qualified technician.

Opening fridge door and it beeps
perhaps the reed switch (the magnetic switch to tell the PCB the door is open/closed).
With F&P fridges, the amount of beeps will indicate the error code which relates to which component is faulty.

Whenever fridge door is shut
The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it's wore out and doesn't work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.
Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

Freezer working but not fridge
All cold air in fridge comes from the freezer behind the back wall. I'd first check to see if the fan is running and trying to circulate air to the fridge side. If it isn't then you'll need to replace evaporate fan. Fan is located in freezer behind back wall.
Note: If you have a bunch of snowy frosty ice buildup on the back wall in the freezer then you have a defrost issue and you should hire a professional.
Thanks and gl.
