Denon AVR-3803 Receiver Questions & Answers
Stereo clicking sound
OH dear! Lightening is not friendly with electronic equipment. A clicking sound is almost certainly the relays dropping the power supply out and then re-trying. If you are lucky you may only have fried your rectifier diodes. This, and any other fried devices should be obvious with a visual inspection. Sorry, not much help. Do you have lightening damage insurance?
I have a Denon AVR-3803
First thing would be to check all the input settings on the TV and Receiver. Without knowing how it's connected, follow the cables from the Direct TV receiver to the AV receiver then to the TV and note the location. (input name) on the electronics back panel. Then make sure the TV is on that input, (Video1, Video 2, etc) Same on the AV Receiver, make sure the name on the back of the unit where the video cable is plugged into is displayed on the front of the Receivers display (CBL/SAT, HDTV, etc.) Lastly, make sure all the products are "on" especially the Direct TV receiver. It happens! Hope this helps. If you still have an issue, post a comment/reply and I can help you further diagnose the problem.
My Denon AVR-3803 has sound when you turn it way
Hi,
This is an indication of faulty parts on the output amplifier stage. Commonly caused of dry joints and cold solder, leaky electrolytic capacitor. If you have tools and test instruments resolder on that area and replaced the leaky capacitor or else look for a qualified technician to troubleshoot the problem.
Hope it may help you.
Let me know if you want further assistance.
Have a nice day!
Struggling to get my tuner
Perhaps you aren't tuning any stations. That would be a good first step toward audio. Install an antenna, too. "Tuned" and "stereo" are indicators there is a listenable station tuned in.
Hi,
Could You please tell me
The coaxil is for an anteanne like a tv. It is an input meaning from a device like an anteannae to the receiver. The video jacks can be used on a tv or vcr.
Hi Have Vizio Flat Screen and a Denon 3803
Red, Green and Blue cables together typically denotes a component video signal - an Analog, High Definition transportation for video. This cable does not carry audio, you need another cable to hook up audio between the DVR and receiver. You can use either an RCA stereo cable (red and white), optical-audio, HDMI, or a whole plethora of other audio cables. I would recommend optical or HDMI to get the most out of your system.
