Tasco 750 Monocular Microscope - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How much is this model
Amazon has used ones for about $25. New they are not worth that much more. They are designed more as a toy, then a real microscope.

You will need to focus in on the slide. There should be 2 1" diameter knobs on either side of the stand, and just to the rear. Those knobs control the height of the stage (where you slide sits). Slowly raise or lower while looking into the eyepiece. At some point something should be see, if the microscope is working properly.
Sometimes it is easiest to start with the lowest magnification. On the outside of the objective (little lenses hanging down that can be rotated) there should be some numbers written on them (usually 4, 10, 40). Those numbers reference your magnification. If you multiply that number by the eyepiece (10) magnification, you will get your total magnification, so start out with your 4x. It will give you the largest field of view, so it is great for finding whatever it is that you are looking for on your slide. It is also the easiest one to get focused. The higher you go in magnification, the smaller the field of view, thereby the more difficult it is focus in on your sample.

My tasco microscope light will not turn on and the battery pack
sometimes when a battery causes corrosion inside something, you can clean off the springs or contacts where the battery goes. if i can, when that stuff happens i use sandpaper or something like that to clean the contacts. you cant always get sandpaper where you need it though. just try to find something to like scrape stuff off if its on there

Fixing one
You must detach the bottom cover of the base of the microscope by taking off the 4 or 5 screws that keep it attached. That should reveal the wiring to the socket and bulb base.

Problems with viewing under low magnification (20x) only red stain
hello..
For the red colour partical your illumination angle should be 0 degree.
As per you exepirience you are getting red at low magnification and not getting at high magnification. at the higer magnification the light deviation you can apriciate more then lower.
try to adjust your light source focusing lenc at higher magnification so at the lower it will be more better,
for the further problem you can contect me any time,
regards.

Optic lens tube separation
sir, your microscope tube with the eye piece is screw joint with microscope body. Rather part is friction fitted as well as there is a proper place to mount it.you can do the gluing but first of all be clear that part should be not a movebale part other wise you will have dificulty for fine focusing.
for the further quotation dont be hazitate,

I bought a second hand
Baking soda will nuetralize the chemicals, but will not clean the contacts sufficiently. You will have to use a fine grit emory cloth or knifeblade, or similar abrasive material, to scrape the compromised contacts, until you get to fresh, uncorroded metal underneath. This will usually restore the unit, and make it operational.
Also check that the switch is good for the light, since they can become oxidized also.
If you're good with a voltmeter, you can ohm out the wiring, or troubleshoot it to find the problem.
If it's a switch, it's usually a swivelling metal contact, so make sure it's clean and making a good connection.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
Where can I buy the light bulb for a 1200 zoom
Microscope bulbs can be hard to find at a local hardware or electrical store in you area. The best, and cheapest solution is to go to
http://www/bulbtronics.com. You will need to know the specification of the bulb in you are to buy online, but if not, their customer service folks are very good at helping you determine what those specifications are, and what bulb you will need to purchase.
