Just bought a bunn and it sounds and feels hot on the tank but water not coming thru to make the coffee

This is a common question for the BTX-B. It's a commercial brewer that needs to be pre-filled prior to turning on.. It also needs to be filled again with a full carafe for it to brew properly. I have a link below that will explain how to set up and use this brewer. CANNOT GET IT TO MAKE COFFEE. HAVE SIDE BUTTON ON AND WARMER ON. POT IS FULL, AND IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 45 MINUTES NOW, AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

That would take a repair center to decide, but I would go with a burnt out water heating coil in the water reservoir.

How to activate a 10 cup bunn coffee brewer model nhb?

I don't understand the question, but here is a try. 1 - put in two pots of water. 2 - put in third pot, the water should start coming out Allow the water to heat (thirty minutes) then put coffee in filter housing, put in one pot of water, put empty pot on warmer, close lid, wait for brew cycle, enjoy coffee.

Water and grounds running over before going into carafe

Be sure the hole in the bottom of the filter basket is unobstructed. You may need to clear it or enlarge the hole if it isn't draining properly.

Can I dump water out of reservoir and refill

To empty the reservoir, you need to turn the whole unit upside down while holding it over a sink or outside on the ground that can get wet. Be sure to turn it on and wait for the water to heat up before brewing a pot of coffee.

Very loud when heating

It's the sound of the water expanding quickly as it's nearing its boiling point amplified by the enclosed water tank inside. Normal.

Bunn Home coffee pot

If you remove the top , then remove the water basin, you will see the heater. At each end of the heater (inside a white tube) is a thermal fuse. Will read like any other fuse with a meter. They carry them at radio shack as well as other places. The temperature is on the side of the fuse. Needs to be replaced with the temperature.

Why dos the maker only put part of the water when making coffee

Hi Rose, My mother-in-law had a similar problem and I found that a transparent film coated the entire inside of the reservoir (you can see if yours does too by feeling the inside of the tank as deep as you can reach). Once I got it clean, it began making full cups of coffee again just like it did when it was new. Here's how I got it working for her. Her tank has a fine meshed stainless steel screen over a "small valve" on the bottom of the tank secured with 3 small phillips screws. I removed the screws and took out the valve. The screen "looks" clear - but the same transparent film on the tank walls was coating the screen, too. As a result water flow thru it is significantly reduced - so it takes longer for water to pass thru it - resulting in "short" cups of coffee. The screen must be cleaned or replaced. I opted to clean it with an old tooth brush and soapy water. I then flushed the soap and the film from it while holding it under a stream of water from the faucet. I looked at the volume of water passing thru the screen to be sure it was cleared well. When happy with the flow, I resecured the valve to tank (after washing the tank in the top rack of the dishwasher as per the instructions on the underside of the tank lid). The film is a type of growth - like algae. To help prevent regrowth or slow it down; do not let water sit in the tank all the time. Pour only enough water in the tank that you'll need for the next 8 to 12 hours - better yet - dump the remaining water out after each "batch" of coffee you need to make. Do not let water sit over night or for any longer than necessary. Be sure to WASH the TANK regularly in the top rack of the dishwasher - as per the directions. I hope this helps & good luck!
