Time for a new machine I think. Sounds like corrupted memory - fortunately the loader is still working - so you may be able to do a software update. So search the web to try and locate the last software update image and apply that using a laptop, with a USB to Serial converter cable, and the Humax windows firmware update tool. Not sure that any of that is still around given the age of the machine

Select your TV Type and try the different codes.

This may help, especially if an update has gone wrong;
Turn off
Unplug aerial and turn on
Perform a defaults reset (you'll lose scheduled recordings and any changes you have made to settings)
Turn off
Plug in aerial
Turn on and perform a second defaults reset.

sounds like you are now picking up 2 transmitters, 1 Winter Hill, 1 welsh- Moel y parc. Due to the increased strength of the new Moel y parc signal

You can see its the channel 46 in orange thats your problem
Do the same retune but unplug the aerial until it gets past 46 so that it only finds the channels 56 and above that are from Winter Hill.
Bad news is that for you it gets worse when the extra channels come on next month. Looking at the aerial and maybe playing with attenuators might filter out the Welsh one

Yes, the Tivo will just record in standard definition, instead of high def.

You can still hook the two up together, though.

What I would suggest (and have done in the past) is this:
Split the cable coming out of the cable box.
Hook one up to your HD cable box, and the other up to the Tivo.
Hook the output of your HD cable box to one HD input on your TV
Hook the output of your Tivo up to a different (non-HD) input on your TV.

This will allow you to watch HD while recording standard definition, and vise versa.

Running the HD through the Tivo will work, but will limit you to not be able to watch HD through it.

" I have tried all suggestions in your manual " Not OUR manual, we are Fixya dot com, we are nothing to do with Humax, we are not who you think we are. First, fully disconnect all devices from mains power for 15 minutes, router, television and the Humax Box. Plug in the router first, then the Humax and finally the television. It will take about 15 minutes for them all to come back online after the reset and all recognise each other. This is called a 'Power Cycle' and reloads all the software and connections. Then try again.
