sounds like your "brightness" button may be stuck. try pushing it and see if it feels the same as the other buttons (should feel it "click" a bit). Also see if any of the other buttons work, because if it IS stuck, they probably won't work...

right click on the desktop then click on properties then click on settings then decrease the resolution but if display is not coming then restart the computer and keep pressed F8 then highlight on last good known configuration and problem will be fixed
