Why is my Westinghouse Fridge WSE6100wa not getting cold or freezer not getting cold. this is only happening at the top of both fridge and freezer?
Sounds like you had a coolant leak. This kind of problem you describe usually is something you need to have a repairman come out and check, & get his opinion & an estimate. Please don't do anything to try to figure it out or fix it for yourself! You could hurt or worse. If you cleaned the freezer recently, is it possible that you poked the inside of freezer? That can do it. Also, check the plug to be sure whether you think that sounds impossible or not. box, as sometimes that happens too. And I assume you already checked the dials you adjust for how cold you want it? There is a dial in each of your fridge & freezer. Other than that, seek pro help. Good luck!

Oil leaking fridge door
you will find that it is ( sealer mastic) residue they seal off door and cabinets with, when the cabinet or doors get warm ( from ambient temp or even excessive heat from mullion heaters the mastic liquifies sightly and hence an oily substance nothing to worry about , see it a hundred times

Top half fridge not cold freezer department fine
I had the same problem; the top fridge compartment was warming up to 14C while the freezer compartment was starting to defrost (frozen stuff was starting to become soft. I took the rear wall off the freezer compartment and found it all iced up. I defrosted it with a blower heater then powered it back up. It all worked fine for a month when the same thing happened. I figured that the defrost cycle wasn't working. I located the defrost timer on the rear right-side of the fridge. I rotated it several times and found that the fridge was turning on and off. I rotated it until the fridge turned off. I waited 5 minutes then stuck my head into the freezer compartment and felt the rear wall at the bottom where he drain is; it felt warm so I guessed the defrost heater element was ok. I ordered a defrost timer and installed it. I haven't had a problem since.

The fridge door dropped
Probably a loose or lost bolt connected to main body with a pin that supports the door. Usually the fridge has top and bottom pin hinges for adjustment so the bottom one must the problem. Look around for bolt/screw on the ground. If can't find it you will need to buy one to match from hardware (unscrew matching bolt/screw from other side and match). You may need a short handle screwdriver if space is limited or carefully have someone tilt the fridge to get access -MUST place a wood of block under so it doesn't fall squashing your hand when working under . Use small mirror placed underneath to see where the bolt/screw goes. Replace fittings and adjust height of door so it seals.

Westinghouse frost free freezer
You don't say from what part and what it sounds like.
If it's a cracking noise, I had the problem in a similar fridge - the repair person said the noise was most likely the sound of ice build up being removed during defrost cycle and not to worry. Suggest you check the freezer temperature is not too cold and building up excess ice.

Westinghouse freezer is not freezing and the temp
Last would be refrigerent unless you were aware of a leak (corroded pipe, ice build up on pipes) or gurgling noise when compress cycle is on.
Check temperature control thermostat is working. As this is electrical you need a repair person. If the temperature control passed the electrical function test, the problem may be a defective temperature sensing bulb on the temperature control. The temperature-sensing bulb is an integral part of the temperature control switch, so you need to replace the complete control.

Westinghouse 633 litle, 2 door
The latest 2 door Westinghouse 610 litre without ice maker is a 2.5 star rating with energy consumption (kwh/year) quoted as 605. We had an older 633 litre Westinghouse about 20 years ago which was less efficient and I would assume about 2 star rating. With older fridges the door seal and thermostat are more important as they will waste electricity if not working well.
