Silhouette manual

I am guessing you want to replace the bulb! Remove plastic cover which can be held in place by philips head screw or screws. The plastic cover can have side clips that need to be squeezed in gently to allow them to release from a slot in the fridge. Once the cover is removed, the bulb should be a screw type. Remove and then buy a replacement - the edison screw size and wattage are the most important thing to fit. Bulb shape to suit size behind the cover. Buy at WW or Coles otherwise spare parts on possibly ebay if you can be precise on model etc.

Refrigerator leaks alot of water from freezer area

Most of the time you have a clogged/frozen drain. If this is a freezer on top model, you need to remove the back wall or floor and defrost the drain with warm water or hair drier ... I find that warm water and a turkey baster works best.. just keep shooting the water down the drain hole until it takes the water down on its own. If the problem returns sometimes you will need to install a drain heater or conductor kit. If this is a side by side model the repair is about the same ..just remove the freezer back wall and melt the ice and flush the drain.

Brand new upright Freezer forming Ice above top

Hi,Is the unit level to the ground or platform it sits on? The reason I ask is that many cases after closing the door a vacuum occurs, after this vacuum settles the door can allow gap in which will cause this issue. So with out opening the door or 10 mins after, check the door seal to assure a good seal. Some door can be modified to seal by heat (blow dryer or steam). BUT, inspect unit before assuming this is the issue! I can further assist you in how to apply heat to reform gasket on door or even reshaping door to seal better if needed.Get back to me on model you have and the results of your findings about this seal issue.Basically, you have an air leak and this is the cause of a seal issue. Results in a condensing warm air mixing with cold air and causes ice cycle to form. Usually around the top because heat rises and cold air drops. With this information you can adjust the door to meet the cabinet and seal you years to come.Good luck and feel free to send me information if needed. How old is the fridge? one of the only ways to remove rust is to scrape it away and try and paint/polish the metal under it.

I want to remove door handle on model RS663V*7 side by side westinghouse refrigerator?

Thanks Tyler T and L fortunato. I just gently but firmly gripped the handle with both hands and pulled it up and it popped out. Wear some rubber gloves to gain more grip. No card required. Now I know what parts to buy. They are all small plastic pieces attached to both the handle and the fridge door itself.

Water dispenser or water leak stuck

I am pretty sure you are having a defrost drain blockage problem. Most defrost every eight hours and over a period of time the drain line that comes down from freezer into a cup like object top middle and back of the fresh food section. If blocked by gunk or ice you will see trails of liquid leaking down the rear wall of fresh food compartment until it reaches the crisper drawers. This is not always the same with every model as you may see frozen ice flowing down the rear wall of freezers on side by sides. Here is an example Click here=>Whirlpool Leak Photo taken by TechnicianBrian He has been around a good bit and deserves credit for his contributions. Here is another way to make this look more simple in clip below.TechnicianBrian.comAnd in this photo are several partslisted in photo group #1 were it is most likely running down the wall=> MagicChef CTB1921AR fresh food section. If you still have questions please ask and rate me if I was able to explain this well enough. Every refrigerator is made different so these are examples only. The key is to find if ice or just gunk has blocked you defrost drain. Unplug and then remove the rear panel in back of freezer. We need to see if the water is overflowing the condensate drain tray or if the blockage is inthe turn the drain leads down back of your refrigerator. Much more on this page=>Leaking Refrigerators! If you run into any problems along the way of repair please let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Freezer will not get below 32 degrees but frig portion is ok. It seems it went into defrost mode and never went back to freezer mode.

You probably need a recharge or the thermostat is not working properly.

Fridge triggers the switch at least twice aday

If compressor run you will hear a soft hum and some vibrations if hold hand on the fridge, then compressor run as it should. Is it cold or not ? - Maybe needs some cleaning or defrosting ?Can be: If triggers switch then it is overloaded,: Compressor is not healthy - high resistance and "tired" OR Cabling problem, too low cable area and too many items on same circuit. Try shift plug to other circuit - if you have air condition on same circuit can be too much.Or maybe make switch bigger - say from 6A - to 16A, or if many on same to 22A

Ihave a Westinghouse BJ434V-R and the bottom freezer is working perfectly, but the top fridge just stopped cooling, is this a thermostat problem if so howis it replaced, Alan

Is the fridge part a separate system? More likely a fan stopped blowing cold air through from the freezer section. If Separate, Thermostat knob prises off end and you will see where wires and sensing phial are located.
