Mcculloch titan 70

Try Googling the unit, maybe you can get an exploded view of the saw, to see where things go. All rubber lines will have to be replaced.

Carb settings for a mac3500 chainsaw

1 1/4 turns on both screws is a good starting point, you will have to fine tune from there, always start fine tuning with the L screw as this will also slighty effect the H setting.

What us the 'H' and 'L' on my chainsaw and how does it work

There are 3 screws on the carb the idle screw usually marked with a T or an I, this screw contacts the throttle spindle and opens it to increase the idle speed, the L screw is a fuel screw, so by screwing it out ( anti clockwise ) will increse the fuel flow through the carb, the screw will adjust the idling, and acceleration up to half throttle, the H screw is also a fuel screw, this will adjust from half throttle to maximum revs, the max revs should be set with a tacometer to the manufacturers fast no load speed, small amounts of movment on boyh screws will make a big difference.

Mcculloch 280B gas blower has compression, fuel, ignition, won't start

Remove all fuel. Remove spark plug. Dry out the crankcase and cylinder by pulling the starter several times.

Reinstall spark plug. Remove air filter, hold throttle open and spray a short burst (~1sec) of starter fluid down throat of carburetor. Release throttle and promptly pull starter rope up to 5x.

If it fires and runs a few seconds then it is a fuel/carburetor problem.

If still no fire then more likely a spark or compression problem. Replace spark plug with new proper type and gap. Retry with starter fluid. If still no run then likely either a failed ignition module or poor compression/crankcase leak.
