PARTS LIST FOR CRAFTSMANSNOWBLOWER MODEL NO.C950-52708-0
At times Sears manufactured "Anniversary" editions; Special editions; limited editions, etc and that is why at times finding the model number of a certain machine can be very difficult.
Many units that do the same thing (lawnmowers, snow blowers/throwers, etc) may have a different model number, but may use the exact same part & have an identical part number across many different units.
Maybe locate a very similar machine with a close enough Model number & you may have a very close relative to what you have with the same parts??

My snowblower isn't starting
If it's the starter that makes a humming noise then you need to check the starter out. the gears could be stripped or even a tooth missing so it won't grab the fly wheel. Try pulling the start rope and see if that makes a difference. My Craftsman 8 horse has a recoil starter as well and I quite often use it as well. I don't always use the electric start.
Brand new snowblower. Engine will not start
Stuck? you mean if you try to use the pull starter the engine will not let you pull the cord out? Will it not start OR is the engine frozen. help us with your descriptionTake the Spark Plug out and see if that helps it turn over. Maybe the float in the Carburetor is stuck open and the cylinder filled with gas Causing Hydrolock.

Oct 21, 2010 - Explorer 5W-30 snow thrower engine oil is a premium formulation for use in all four cycle engines when temperatures are below 32 deg. F. Explorer 5W-30 snow thrower engine oil protects the engine by lubrication, cooling, cleaning and sealing internal moving parts.
Start snow blower runs for 3 min. and starts to over heat checked oil its ok then stats to shut down like its not geting oil
Why do you say its over heating .Runs for 3 minutes the oil is OK .
Do you understand how the choke works .
bacsicly you prime the mechine in cold condutions 3-4 pumps choke to max throttle at 3 /1/4 .
Start backing off the choke after 3-to4 mins .
The choke shuts the fresh flow down to the engine in cold condutions ware it needs more fuel then air to run.
When the engine starts to get hot it can't run with out fresh air to mix with the gas it won't run anymore because there is to much gas and not enough air
Its simple fool prof will work everytime if you adjust it right
