This is just the return to tank pipe, it does not need to be in the fuel, just in the tank far enough not to leak out the top.

Are the battery connections on your machine clean or burnt? Also something could be burnt out

Back to basics, remove the spark plug, lay on its side against a metal part of the machine ( away from the plug hole ) crank the engine, do you have a spark at the plug? if yes then we more that likely have a fuel issue, if no spark the ignition unit is bad ( make sure the switch is on ) if you have a spark re fit the plug, crank the engine with the choke on, remove the plug again is the tip wet? if no there is no fuel to the engine, remove the fuel filter from inside the fuel tank and replace with new, try again, if still no fuel to the plug a carb strip and clean will be required, for the time it takes it is well worth removing the muffler and check the condition of the piston face through the open port, any signs of scuffing and the machine has seized and will require further investigation.

[stop - your mower may be under warranty and may qualify for free repairs. check with your owner's manual for a free number to call for information]. before working on it, make sure the battery is removed. consider turning it upside down to inspect the wheel. if there is no physical blockage stopping the wheel from turning, you could try spraying the bolt with WD40 or a few drops of motor oil. if the wheel turns, lubricate it again and do the same to the other wheels. if it does not turn, the wheel will have to be taken off.

Found this previously posted: Cut two separate pieces of string, about 7 ft. each. Stick the end of the line in the hole on the inside of spool. Wind clockwise onto spool, putting the line that is closest to the ground on first. Once you have winded this piece on, lock the last 4 inches of line through the slits on spool. Repeat process for second piece of line, locking the last 4 inches in slot opposite the other locked in piece. Put the spool on the trimmer, feeding the end of lines through either hole on trimmer. Before you push the spool all the way on, pull the strings out of the locked position. Put cap on and GO CRAZY!

Snapped it off did you?.... you and 10,000 other ryobi owners. I purchased on eBay ($7 US, delivered, a few yrs ago). You pry off the remainder and the new one presses on.

These small trimmers have a flexible drive shaft like a speedo cable, the tube lining is plastic, when they are assembled the flex shaft is greased, if you shake the machine and can hear the shaft rattling in the tube you can re grease it, otherwise leave it alone.

Try to use diesel fuel in the spark plug hole install the spark plug,Leave it for 24 hours and retry it and see if it unceases..

It really depends where you have broken it, you can get repair cables for the ht lead, if it is broken at the ignition unit it will be a bit more difficult, you could try glueing it as it only needs to be in the right place for the spark to transfer along the ht lead.

Unfortunately unless you have a multi meter, and know how to use it you are going to struggle to see which item has failed, what I would do is check the voltage from both battery and charger to see which is not correct. So back to basics, is the battery properly inserted into the charger? if there is a stand by light on the charger, is this on? is the fuse in the plug ok? ( swap with a fuse you know is good ) is the plug socket you are trying it on live?

Hello, unless the charger specifies that it charges 18 volt, it will only charge a 14.4v properly. If the battery fits the charger physically, then the most you might get an 18v to charge at is 15 or 16 volts. Your battery life will be shorter and you might damage the charger. I hope this helps.

Do you mean the Ryobi 40V X-head cordless string trimmer? This model has a 12-15" cutting width. For the 40V battery, you remove it by pressing and holding the latch button at the bottom of the battery (on the side closest to you). Then pull the battery out of the power head, exactly reversing how you slid it into place. Do not release the latch button until the battery slide free of the tool. The latch is usually stiff and takes a lot of force to hold down. The same directions apply to removing the battery from the Ryobi 40V string trimmer with the fixed head. For the 18V batteries, there are two latches, one on each side of the battery. Press and hold again. These are so stiff that my mother and I often need someone else take off the battery from any of the Ryobi tools. (We're both about 5' tall and 100 pounds.
