This could be several things. But most are firmware related Unplug it from the network and power it off, then on. Does it come to ready? If it does there's a bad print job on someone's computer. Or less likely the network port is bad. Clear out all print jobs on the network then submit a new print job. If it prints, great, if it codes again, clear it and try from a different computer. if you're printing from a Mac can probably get away with updating firmware or changing the PPD for the printer. if its windows printing I would replace the formatter board. If you have one lying around you could try plugging in a jet direct card and seeing what it does, but I wouldn't order a jetdirect card, I'd replace the formatter.

On printer check media/paper type tray 2 or 3 is plain and tray 2/3 is set for letter paper size too, via printer control panel. Also check under paper handling other options for tray 1, also on tray 2 and 3, I think there is a blue little round switch on left should be set as letter not custom.

Some paper types cannot be feed from anywhere else but tray1/bypass ie labels/laminate/card stock.

Check print driver on pc has tray 3 option installed and is not set as default to print to manual bypass/tray 1

light flashing cause printer wants paper type/size that it "thinks" it hasn't got in tray 2/3

It sounds like the printer needs to be cleaned. Begin with the careful inspection of the rollers.

try when you get to print , you go to properties or printer settings and click on the draw number yo want the paper to feed from apply and then make it your default drawer

This is an error caused by the jet direct card in your printer, try one of two things.

1. Move the Jet Direct card from port 1 to port 2 on the printer.
2. Replace your jet direct card with one that you know is good.

Test to see if either of these resolves the issue.

The problem is usually a faulty card.

Hello,Picking up more than one sheet of paper indicates the pickup rollers and separation pad is worn and they will need to be replaced. These parts work together to pickup and separate the paper from the paper tray and when they get slick the rollers allow more than one sheet to enter the printer which causes a paper jam and misfeed errors.
