Hp officejet 7110 battery and cmos location

The battery is located behind the left front cover. Open the printer, grasp the left front cover from inside the printer and pull to open. Look inside the printer to left and you will see it.
It is enough to remove for a minute to reset the expiration.
But I'm afraid after that the printer may not keep the date and time when turn off.

HP Officejet 7110 won't print black and white w/o color cartridge

I've used HP Inkjet/Officejet printers for years. Many HP inkjet printers also use the color cartridges to some extent to create 'black' in slightly different shades, that can be un-noticeable to the eye. To print using only black ink, try doing as follows: When you click on 'Print' from your browser, the printer properties (or preferences) page opens. You must first set the printer to not print in color (color is the default setting). Then you must set the printer to use 'black ink only' by using the 'advanced settings' as follows: 1. In most browsers there will be a box on the lower right of the printer properties page that says 'advanced'. 2. Click on that box to get the advanced settings page to open. 3. Once open, the feature you need to check is called 'print in grayscale'. (It is usually at the top of the list) It is set to 'off' by default. Just click on it and a menu box drops down and one of the choices is 'Black Ink Only'. 4. Click on that and then 'save' or 'apply' those settings. Then your printer should be using black ink only. You will probably have to set that each time you want to start a new printing job, as the default settings on these printers are tilted toward using the color cartridges in order to sell you more colored ink. Also, if you are using Windows 10 and the 'Edge Browser' that comes with it, you cannot get to the 'grayscale' option. So either use a 3rd party browser, or use good old Internet Explorer, (which is still included in Windows 10) to open and get to the page you are trying to print. I hope this helps. If not, go to HP.com and type in the model number of your printer and then do a search from there for detailed instructions for your printer model (which might be slightly different than what I have shared here.
