hi that would be simple if you find the folder in which the web cam icon is located right click on the icon scroll down to send another window should open up on the side then click on desktop(shortcut) this should put the icon as a short cut on the desk top.
NB:
the icon that you right click on must be the icon that acesses & activates the crystal eye web cam.

I'm assuming you are trying to place the sd memory chip from your camera into the machine. If the machine has an sd slot, it will be in the front just to the left of the three ports or jacks for headphone, mic, etc... If it doesn't the you will need either a usb cable to attach your camera or an sd card reader that plugs into the usb port. You should be able to get either of these at the same place you got the camera.

hi, if its a built in cam , then the driver disk will take care nof it, now for chatting, u just need to open the chat applet, there you can find or go to "My Web Cam" that doed not need any software for video chat, most of the chatt applets are smart to locate your system web cam.. let me know

reinstall the drivers, or go to your adminstrative tools in the control pannel and then computer managment, and then services and applications, inside you will find a list on services on your computer, find you cam and check its settings, you can also go to control pannel, sysytem, hardware and find the cam click on it, it should tell you if it is running correctly, you can also reinstall, the drivers from there

It seems that your computer is infected with a spyware. I will give you some steps to try and resolve this.

Scan your computer with this and clean it.

If it does not let you download this, you need to try this in the "Safe mode with Networking"

Step to go to "Safe mode with Networking"
Turn off the computer. As soon as you turn it on start tapping the key "F8" untill you get a black screen with options of "Safe mode" and "Safe mode with Networking", select the second one and than log on to the computer.

Your display will be big and distorted in safe mode, dont worry as its a diagnostics mode.
Once downloaded the software you might need to rung the software in normal mode as sometimes this software does not work in the safe mode.
To get back to the normal mode. Simply restart your computer.

My best guess with the limited info given is that your settings on your computer are somehow not right. My best guess is your IP address is not correct. When you right click on my network places and go to properties you should see a list of connections. Double click on the one you believe is your internet. Click on the support tab and at the top it should say next to address type "assigned by dhcp" not "manually assigned". Hope this helps.
