There is no reason why this should happen when removing a program or software.

Have you tried a system restore?
It doesn't normally retrieve missing files but as it is files specifically related to a program it may work.

Backup everything you want first, e.g copy my documents etc to an external drive

Start --> All programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore

Click Restore my computer to an earlier date

Select a date in bold before the date when you removed the software

Click Next , next

Leave the pc to restore, power plugged in

You can always undo this restore later

run a security program avg/ norton / should fix it

Relax.. check all your drivers in device manager:

Vista- type device manager at startup
XP- right-click my computer -> hardware -> device manager

Make sure all the drivers is ok with no question marks or errors, if it does, reinstall your drivers from your driver CD.

There is no way to remove the colour bands, the only option is to replace the screen, go to www.ebay.com Type make and model of laptop, refine search to screen, this will give a idea on pricing.

When you insert the (WINDOWS) disk, restart the computer and make sure you boot from the CD or DVD, not the hard drive. After it installs and asks if you agree with licensing, you should see 2 options for installing windows. Usually the 1st option says (RECOMMENDED) but in order for a 'clean' install you'll need to check the 2nd box that says ADVANCED. This is the option that allows you to actually restore it back to the way it was. The hard drive will have to be formatted which will clean out your files *** MAKE SURE THAT IS WHAT YOU REALLY WANT*** Those files will be gone for good. I also recommend getting on Youtube and search 'HOW TO FORMAT AND DO A CLEAN INSTALL OF WINDOWS' There are several excellent tutorials that will walk you right through it. It makes it easier if you can actually see what steps they are taking on their computer. I hope this helps! Good luck!

It's look like your laptop have a problem called "NO POST".
motherboard, cpu or memory can cause this problem.
To diagnose it, reseat your memory first and after that turn it on.
if it still no post.
use only 1 memory and turn it on, if still same,
Try to move your memory and seated to different slot and turn it on. if it still same, it's mean your motherboard/cpu is bad.

Try using a different monitor if you have one available, or disconnect the monitor from the computer and then turn it on. If you see a logo or color bar or message saying no signal, then your monitor is OK and you should take a look at your video card.

If you suspect your video card, there is very little you can do with a no video situation. but one thing you can do is to remove the video card completely and wait for a few minutes. then put it back in and try to start your computer. This is just in case you have corrupted video memory keeping it from functioning. otherwise, replace the card.

In the case that your video is built into you computer, buy a new card and disable the onboard video in the BIOS. That will take some browsing in the BIOS setup, but it shold be fairly easy to find. once it is disabled, the new card will be able to function and you should be ok from there. Otherwise, it's motherboard replacement time.
